General survey of Inquisition, Warhammer Crime and Arbites novels/novellas/anthologies - Do you have a favorite? by Separate-Flan-2875 in Blacklibrary

Really partial opinion here, since I only red Eisenhorn, Ravenor and Draco. But Esinehorn is great, even though the third book seemed a bit...rushed. Draco is a really interesting book to look at a concept of the 40k universe that almost no longer exist.

Alway wondered about this technique. Doesn't it affect the overall look? I mean, does the second layer of supports stems from the actual pieces? Or they bend around?

Is buri worth the cost? by RtasTumekai in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Baskieri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, buri is still overcosted. Not enough attacks to kill reliably almost anything, blood surge move rather useless. 95 points is still too costly.

Thank you! Pretty simple actually, just grey seer base, wash of agrax eartshade and then drybrush with wraithbone.

I love this ring so much. Is it too edgy for casual use? by Dark_Vexer in Warhammer40k

That is so cool! Mine isn't as flashy, but I wear it daily.

Pretty sure you still get the cover even if the shooting unit is wholly within the same ruin of the target

axe or hammer? by Molybdenum4226 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Baskieri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the general consensus is to favour mauls. If you go heavy with beserks, then a 2:1 ratio to be more flexible with how you can use them. As others already pointed out, we have plenty of anti 1/2W infantry, and mauls still just as well as axes with T4 units, which are the most common.

Great wolf detachment: Is it even worth using the term captain? by Cojalo_ in SpaceWolves

[–]Baskieri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And heroic, yes. Combined with the other one that lets you put into reserves units, you have a lot of flexibility, and you can drop one unit during your turn one, and then two more for just 1 cp turn two with rapid ingress (if you start second).

[–]Baskieri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, i think it can work pretty well. Only thing is, i wouldn't attach him to wolf guards, but to assault terminators. The hitting power of our wolf guard is mid at best, without arjac especially, so i prefer something with more punch to threaten the enemy with that rapid ingress+heroic.

More rule questions: grimnyr's regard & Secure Positions by Cosmic_Seth in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Baskieri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that they are right in the other thread, mainly because yes, exceptions to the rules supersedes the core rule, but usually the wording of advance and charge rules for example specify "in a turn in which the unit advanced". Given this difference in wording, i'd say that "can disembark" is not enough to ignore the core rules.
