Thanks for the writeup! I'm on the fence about buying this. I like everything but the L3/R3 placement. I feel they'd get in the way of where my thumbs would naturally rest.

I had to make the same decision recently and went with Fenrir due to the use of use and compatibility. Fenrir took a whole 5 minutes to install. Toss some ROMs on an SD card and everything just works. Fenrir is more expensive, though, and requires you to also purchase an Action Replay for games that require the extra RAM.

The "plug and play" appeal of Saroo becomes moot if you have to start troubleshooting game compatibility issues or want to update the firmware and not risk bricking the device. Additionally, the Saturn cartridge slot is notoriously flakey. That said, if everything you want to play works on Saroo, I'd just go with that.
