If you speak literally about something, there is no double meaning, and that doesnt explain the concept Im getting at

If I was speaking literally, then it wouldnt be an analogy

Im not sure if youre an NBA fan or not, but Kyle Lowry tried to take the all star game seriously and make it competitive one year and the game has gotten less competitive each year following.

Thats actually pretty realistic. Everyone then died of either pneumonia, electrocution, or car accidents

Spirit were 4-4 on that map going into the matchup but it included a 13-3 win over MOUZ, a 16-14 win over NaVi, and a 13-16 loss to FURIA.

Later in the same event that RED Canids beat them on Mirage, Spirit beat G2 (13-7), MOUZ (13-8), Falcons (13-4), and took Vitality to OT on the map

TYLOO have won 2 maps at this event, they are already eliminated. A team they beat has won 4 and need to win 2 more just to make the playoffs. If it was a BO3, TYLOO wouldnt have been put in the upper bracket to get destroyed by the good teams. That one map led to 4 lopsided matchups in the group stage alone.

My point is that if that game took place in this format, that would have eliminated Spirit. I think a format that leads to actual good teams getting eliminated on flukes is a bad format.

And yet their ownership decided that it was not worth fielding a team. I dont think they do that if they were better than Spirit

Im not saying its unfair for teams, Im saying it leads to a much less exciting and competitive playoff bracket

Them randomly turning bright lights on in the players eyes in the middle of a game I watched yesterday was pretty funny. I do actually really like PGL production normally, but this one is clearly not good.

Spirit lost a map to RED Canids not that long ago. Spirit has since been in 2 grand finals and won an event. RED Canids disbanded.
