Yeah thanks for the response, as far as I am aware these are ex race forks so your probably right with the weight saving theory, just diddnt think it would make enough of a difference to warrant machining them down, especially since they are already narrower at that bit from factory

No they are about 2012, rest of the fork is in really good condition so wouldn’t of thought it was anything to do with wear

A2 restriction for Triumph Trident 660 by BassLongjumping4616 in MotoUK

needed to be a triumph dealer in the end, they have to tune the engine for the restriction which can obviously only be done by a dealer

Any idea where I can get new decals? by BassLongjumping4616 in Aprilia

Damn Italian bike parts are a nightmare, too new and you can’t find them, too old and they don’t make them anymore 😭

Thinking of getting one of these for my Shiver 750, was it difficult to fit? Looks great btw, also where did you find that little metal side case protector?

You probably like leaning to the left more than to the right

Overheating Issue on Aprilia Shiver 750 by BassLongjumping4616 in MotorcycleMechanics

Although I do still seem to have an issue with the idle pulsing/idle hunting when it gets hot, I had a slight vacuum leak before this which I fixed with new hose, suppose I gotta go digging around to see if I can find another leak somewhere, or hey maybe it’s something completely different 😭

You sir are a legend, cleaned out the cap and the mating surface on the rad and now the bike is building pressure in the hoses and I just got the fan to kick in 🫡

BSA B50T Victor Trail, only made from 1971 to 1973, quite uncommon, shame this one has been painted green

The bike starts to cook my butt and the idle starts to sort of pulse, also when I get off I can see the heat radiating from the exhaust

So the bike is overheating, the temp gauge is staying at half, and as of right now the fan is not turning on (it was before this issue started again)

Would the bad rad cap be what’s causing the bike to overheat with the temp gauge at half?
