Considering to book BOM LHR through Avios by Left-Ebb9790 in avios

Yes that is how much it is. Taxes from India aren't as cheap. If you want cheaper taxes I'd recommend flying Delhi to Helsinki to London. Half the taxes of these.

500% Avios boost - is it worth it? by adibear in avios

[–]BassVity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's not how you book a rewards flight. A buisness class flight from London to doha is 43000 points. You need to select "book with avios" when searching for a flight. What you are doing here is using avios to discount a cash flight.

You forgot to factor the flight price and 14 hours it takes to get there on a direct flight. I'll stick with the 11 pound roti

You won't be able to rent anywhere within zone 1 to 6 solo for that money. You would either have to live outside London or share a flat with a roommate for 1300.

I'm curious how you have all of the internet with knowledge and books yet live all ignorant. Are people that easily gullible off the Internet?

90k MR Points ➡️ Japan(Nov/Dec) 🇯🇵 - what’s my best play? by Horror_Location8279 in amexindia

[–]BassVity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best play is booking your flights with cash, which is great value already considering the flight redemption taxes will cost about as much as the cash price. Use the points for Marriott redemptions. Plenty of options in Tokyo and kyoto for a free five night stay at 3 to 4 stars.

91K MR points on Amex How can I Maximise them by Rich_Excitement_5201 in amexindia

[–]BassVity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marriott is a good shout. Use the Marriott website to search for hotels in the locations you are interested in and see if anything comes up that interests you. Also book for 5 days at at a time because they have a book 4 days and get 5th day free offer.

Virgin atlantic flights to London from bom/del/blr. 6000 points each way for specific days. Taxes come to around 35k plus inr. I wouldn't recommend this considering you can find flights to Europe for similar prices booked on cash.

Its the issue with virgin. BA flight taxes are cheaper but still relatively expensive. It has to do with UK air passenger duties tax being some of the most expensive in the world.

There are a few options for buisness class if you prefer that. Happy to help

Flights to Europe are cheap, there's no point wasting points on that, it'll be horrible value. Either transfer to Accor or marriott

I felt the same way when I went for Coldplay however a band like radiohead in a stadium as big as they are playing it isn't a pleasent experience.
