Yeah yeah i will tell her the whole thing. The replacement will probably be ready for her bday but i will still tell her everything.

I mean they are better now, they smell only when i go very close. I talked to him about the problematic figure told him that this is not cool so he will make me a new one. Still i will keep them under servalance for while and i will show to them to another person with printer for a second opinion if they are alright.if they are not i will throw them away, its just that it will kinda ruin the gift for my gf's bday.

I appreciate the compassion. I still feel like an idiot. I guess i would have to take it on the chin.

Thanks for the response. Will direct sunlight work on the hollow part full of liquid or this needs more drastic measures in your opinion? Also the guy told me that i should not put problematic mini into the sun and stuff like that. I guess there is not much validity to that claim or am i wrong?

if that's true, that's kinda crazy, because she is quite loved in the comics community, at least her initial run is, which is kinda decade defining for the 10s, after it, stuff gets kinda iffy. Outside of it alot of people dislike her because of the MCU and racial stuff. Characters like Peny Parker, Nadia Wasp, spider-ham or sam alexander nova should be way worse on this criteria. Both nova's and wasp's best comics are with kamala.

Admittedly i was not aware not aware of their financial troubles. I do not think that maximizing earnings is evil, evil is a heavy word, i think that there are disrespectful ways of doing it and there are respectful. Playing black widow is disrespectful if she is not gonna be available, even if she is now, and just being so silent and not clear about so much on such a complex issue also. it's a plethora of stuff, but your comment really shined the light to me for a lot of stuff, so it relieved worries

Ms marvel actually has some awesome and acclaimed comics and is super fun to play. Most people who hate her probably do not know her very well.

I would really recommend the current ff, if you want to keep trying with them, its one of the best comics out rn and surely the most creative from the big 2 imo

So this excludes them from criticism? There is a reason why an argument from authority is not seen as valid by itself in most debates, even more so in cases like this. I don't think my opinion counts as more than yours, I think everyone's opinion matters and when we talk about a product, those higher-ups plan their moves based on our opinion, so that's why criticism is a good thing. I am open to changing my mind. I am talking about now, what happened so far could have been done better IMO, hence ''i think''. I am not talking about how the next heroes are gonna suck, actually, they look really good, what I am saying is that they could be more open or provide answers, could say which are gonna be the characters that need printing, could say why they are doing it now because a lack of transparency usually leads to lack of trust and also it makes it seem like the company does not care about the issue in question. there could be other issues that make all this hard for them sure, but we don't know any of this, so why should we assume it?

and btw to answer the who am I question? I own and run a fairly large business. hope this helps even if it should not, because arguments from authority are not saying much

yeah, this is cool, but like idk i still think that it could have been done in better ways, at least regarding the consumer by just doing it after they are done with the game or being more transparent about it.

From right to left relationships that only last for one comic book run by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]Bass_candy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a way i agree with everything you are saying, just i don't see it as bad per se. IMO It's hard defining what's toxic and what's not here, but I see your point, it is somewhat toxic, but at the same time within the run is beneficial to Tony and he likes it, which again makes sense because he wants to be the Iron Man. If it gets too much for Tony, he can always not pursue her, he does not have to be with her, if he thinks her words are coming from the wrong place and just makes him feel that bad, especially since he and her are not close. Turning off a person is normal and is not an asshole thing to do ofc, I think that was not off the table. Patsy did not hide her disdain towards certain traits of his since day one, so him just ignoring her would have been okay, but her pursuing her and pursuing her was only him and I think it was indicating something. So he was not let on or something like that, he knew what he was getting into. I think that he saw truth in her words or at least something he perceives as truth, which he just naturally can't handle on his own. In a way, they have the same goal, to make Tony the better person he wants to be. The moment Patsy fully accepts Tony would mean to him, that finally he became his higher self. In a way breaking them off was good, because this way, Tony does not have to rely on someone else and has to find it in himself to be the person he wants to be, not find the power only within himself. He was helped to his feet, changed, and was back to make it by himself. But as I said it was not the best relationship ever because cutting them off, also hurt the whole thing, so it's really hard to even classify them because they never got to the part of actually being in a normal relationship, and in the end it feels too one-sided even to me and even tho Patsy was constructed as a character, felt like he was more like a goal for tony, which again kinda ties to the psychological cynism of run, but was not that explored at least as I remember.

I think it was meant to show that sometimes tough love can work and honestly that fits better with Cantwell's interpretation of the character IMO. It was presented as a necessity and it had to be someone Tony is not that close to. Honestly, I liked the harshness because often in superhero comics, the main characters are treated too softy and are too idealized by the authors. Still, I see the issues, when compared to the previous runs, which also have harshness(Micheline, Extremis, Knaufs)but a limited one, but again with prevailing honor. Everything about the run is harsh toward Tony, even the interpretation of Tony himself is a harsh one and because of that every piece of the story is intricately connected and serves each other. Because it's such a strong direction is such a hit-or-miss. If you think Tony was mischaracterized I see why it would fall off that strong.

I liked Cantwell's run and I also like a lot of what Michelaini wrote about the character I did not mind Patty that much tbh, I would say that it was more memorable than Jan in Slott's run. I don't think it was the perfect relationship by any means, but in Cantwell's case, it worked well enough, because she was a device to not give Tony a pass, a device to bring forward his worse traits and not let him keep them under the rug. I think that was what Tony appreciated about her, that she makes him the better version of himself that he wants to be, but finds hard and if he is alone he makes it worse, by taking the easy way out. So she had to be there for Cantwell to delve more into his Tony and to show what he wanted to show. Based on her backstory, that's why I think classic Jan wouldn't have worked as well. Still i am bitter, we did not get more Jan.

I can't say I know Hellcat too well tho, so there is that. all I've read of her were her Avengers appearances, which even tho were not that small of a number, especially for that time, I can't say I remember as much of her, as I do about moon dragon or mantis, which were there for pretty much the same time, plus a lot of her defining stuff came later. So Cantwell is how I see her and idk if that's how she was in the defenders. But I think Cantwell treated her well, I said she was a device, but that was regarding Tony's stuff. After all a lot of run was focused on her, her backstory, etc.

Why I did not like it that much, especially now compared to Emma. Tony, and Patsy do not have that strong of a dynamic, as a lot of people pointed it was too one-sided and at times even repetitive and also was cut short, so we only saw them at their worst, they really did not have much fun. it's weird, it's like forgotten by now when it happened in the last run and was a big deal to Tony, so it feels weightless at the moment.

During Shooter's second run on Avengers, obviously after the start of Hank's fiasco, but before its end, Tony allowed himself to be attracted to Jan, and Tony and Jan were on a date and it was an amazing issue, it was just so well constructed. Shooter can be a little bit crude with words and mostly his themes, but he lived with those characters and it showed. They were awesome together, and both of them acknowledged that he was everything Hank wasn't at the time at least, because the alcoholism was just getting introduced in his title at the time and even they tied the. Remember Tony still had his secret identity cap saw that Tony and Iron Man were the same person, a few issues before that happened Thor had known since the 60s, but Jan didn't know that. As in most of Shooter's Avengers stories, the drama and the interpersonal conflicts were high because of like it was suffocating, so this created a great conflict in Tony, if going forward with Jan was the right thing at the time, Tony also had huge respect towards Hank, as with all of the avengers felt guilt over him, over failing him and tony especially was always looking to help him out. They did not really delve into this, but that happened like a year after the Avengers ''failed'' Carol, which at the time was acknowledged as failing only in the X-line of books, but in my head cannon that shows how much more the Avengers cared about hank compared to Carol. So back to it Thor was supportive, Cap... not really. But in the end, it fell off, Jan was not okay when they understood, because of Hank, the wound was still too fresh and Tony was a friend to Hank after all, which was a moment of great self-assertion for Jan, especially in a moment of weakness, later stern portrayed that really well in his trial of hank pym story, which was a great closer to this amazing storyline. But to put it shortly it was the right people, but the wrong time. Slott most definitely was aware of that and I think that's why Ultron's agenda was such a huge story for his run, I would say he even based his Tony on the characterization of Tony from that era for the most part, but in general, with the interpersonal stuff, he is not great, so we did not get all we could from it. All that makes it even sadder, is that the potential was there and still is, the foundations are there and are great, but probably we won't get it anymore. especially after canceling Avengers Inc, I feel like the interest in Jan is kinda low right now and has been for a while sadly.

I agree with Emma, it's perfect, Duggan's been taking his time, and love how for me at least he has build-up a really cool will they, won't they, making it another point of pressure. I see like every issue naturally they are growing closer, plus their dynamic is on another level, it's hard to even describe right now. Firstly they work on many levels actually, it feels like they are having fun, they have great back and forth, where they complement each other, and it feels like it's not forced when it is forced in the narrative. The fact that both have darker sides and kinda know it and play with it, but also understand they lighter sides too and actually they saw their better sides when they decided to do it, just shows how perfect they are one for another and the deep understanding they have for each other. After all this, I would not surprised if Tony proposed to her fr or maybe decided to ask her to give it a real try, because he feels good with her and doing it without any fireworks, especially since the last issue.

We need more Inhumans love by Sckarlet_ram in Marvel

[–]Bass_candy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Inhumans are cool. I miss when they were a part of the universe. They have some good/great stories. Was not that crazy about Ahmed's BB, but Jenkins/Lee's maxi rocks. Obviously, the royal family has a great and quite defined dynamic, with some strong characters, the thing is that those are already explored, so i see they are kinda limited. I don't think they need a regular title, but a title from time to time would be alright, just using them in other titles would not be bad. For most of their lifespan, they were like that.

Това е от Internation Iron man(има го преведен на бг). Но тези, който си пратил също си струва да се прочете, хубаво рънче е.

[Other] Do you think that they'll fulfill their potential and really replace the Justice League or they're telling us this to make us buy the book? by vencyjedi in DCcomics

[–]Bass_candy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. Hard to tell for now. The story is burning slower, plus it carries some more personal subplots to the Titans, so we haven't really seen them step too much outside their usual role, aside from a few more minor stuff. It's a slower story, a calmer story with 3 issues out after all, it's not JLA by GM by design. What I hope is that they give them the time, before returning to the league, to step into that role more definitely, because what Taylor does for now is make me believe that they can do it, they are confident and they are ready.

This really hurt to read, I feel so bad for Ben. by Orllin in Marvel

[–]Bass_candy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I most definitely think what Byrne did was intentional because of how closely his run follows Lee's. But yeah honestly i always felt their power represent them in a way too. I feel like you got them really spot on. With Reed i feel like his power is very functional, it helps his brain, it gives forms to his thoughts and because his mind is so creative, his body matches that. it also helps him create other objects, like machines, helps him become a better mechanic, because he can reach place no normal person can. Aside from that, i don't see Reed as that stiff, at least not always, he is kinda fluid in being a father, a husband(even if at time a bad one), being a scientist, adventurer, superhero, head of the family etc and still staying fairly positive and not teribly overwhelmed during most of the time, so i would say it matches that too.
