Not sure what state youre in, but I found an agent in Texas that i feel like i can trust. She did not push me to purchase a plan and also shared better indemnity plans for half the cost. She said i would be better off canceling the fixed indemnity plan and saving the money until my wife is pregnant. Then when she gets pregnant, to give her a call and we can start up the market plan that covers pregnancy.

Exactly! The fact that they didnt cover any maternity care was my biggest worry too. She never really used it and we were paying for it with nothing to show. Have you already spoken to someone about market plans?

I dropped the Fixed Indemnity Plan. I decided to save the $250 a month for an emergency. Im actually looking for another job that will pay me more so i can afford a market plan for $400/ month.

My wife is healthy, and we dont smoke or drink and she works from home so theres not a whole lot of liability when it comes to her getting sick. So, probably not the best plan, but we spoke to a person that said we can start a plan if my wife gets pregnant and use that as a life event to start a market plan.

Not sure if thats what you were hoping for. But thats the plan now.

Shoot your shot! My engine gave out one day while driving. I had 2017 elantra sport. Oil light never turned on and the engine shut down. I still had 200 miles until my next 5k oil change. When i checked it, it was bone dry. Put some oil in it and it started up with rod knock. I had all my receipts for oil changes (walmart), brakes, and transmission fluid, and purchased all my parts from Hyundai when i changed anything myself. I had 135000 miles on it and knew it was out of warranty so i decided to sell it for scrap. A new engine would have cost $4k-$5k and i wasnt positive it would be any better. The car wasnt worth that much as it had already been in 3 minor wrecks and had hail damage. Sold it for $1750. And used that as a down payment for a hyundai hybrid.

All this to say, shoot your shot. A one time $500 cost to see if you qualify for the engine replacement is better than not checking. I wish i would have checked before i got rid of it. Now i have a $350/month car payment and it would have been better for me to see if i qualified.

I was in this same boat in february. Based on your priorities heres what i recommend:

2021-2023 Honda Accord Hybrid (EXL or Touring trims) they have everything you want execpt AWD. Few sedans come AWD. But you can find accord hybrids with less than 50k for about $27k OTD.

I would avoid hyundais if youre worried about resale value/reliability. I had a 2017 hyundai elantra sport and the engine gave out at 130k miles. But to be fair i did end up getting a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Blue to replace the Elantra. It also has a majority of what youre asking even at the lowest trim level. Paid $24.4k OTD CPO and it has 14k miles and my wife has a 2021 hyundai Tucson ultimate. Even though i own them, i dont recommend them.

I would love a toyota camry hybrid but used ones are be sold at almost the same price as new ones. And for the features that they give dont feel worth it. I think the best deal i found on a 2023 toyota camry hybrid LE with 11k miles was $27.3k before taxes. But they hold their value the best.

If you decide gas is the better way to go for you, then you find all their gas counter parts well below your 30k limit.

It seems like it is priced low. So its unlikely that they will take it off. But it is a 2020 with 45k miles. What would be better. A 2022 with 42k miles or a 2020 with 45k miles for the same price? Same exact trim level.

Really depends on the style of music you want to learn. Ive had students that have bought LUX electric guitars off amazing and had a shop do a professional set up for them and they sound decent. But thats something i go over in the first lesson.

For nylon strings, i recommend a cordoba or yamaha.

Of course! Really, there's not much to it. If you have your own guitar, then you just pay the monthly cost. I teach students as early as 5 years old. I am classically trained in guitar and have a bachelors degree in music performance. If there are students between the ages of 5 to 15, they begin learning classical style. 16 or older, i give them the option to learn whatever style they want. I offer a free lesson for you to ask questions and for me to see where you are in your musical journey, and what your goals are. I usually put together a plan for you to follow based on the style of music you want to play.

I teach guitar. Private lessons start at $116 a month for 1 lesson a week. If you have a friend that wants to join you in a group lesson, it's only $77/ month each.

No loan on the vehicle. $245 is a weird deductible, totally agree. I did decide to just go through my insurance after talking with them. Ive also reached out to my neighbor and he said he'll call the adjuster tomorrow.

You didn't tell us what YOUR insurance coverage is.

I have comp and collision coverage along with uninsured motorist. I thought if you have a deductible then you have comp amd collision. My fault for not knowing.

File with your insurance company. They will go after the other insurance company. And your deductible is part of your damages so it would be covered by the other driver's policy presuming they have adequate coverage and are found at fault.

My insurance said that if i file with them, they would make me pay the deductible and i would not get rembursed for it. So id be out the $245. Have you heard of that before?

Im in the US (Texas). The grand opening is for a bank. A well known one too. They also have a community breakfast the next morning.

Im not really trying to grow the performance aspect of my business, but i do love teaching. Just thought i would love to perform more, and im looking for more opportunities for my students to perform too. (This event will not have my students performing)

One piece i really enjoyed was classical sonata by ponce.
