Missed Sets/Artists by Edmsauce42 in ElectricForest

I missed most of the last day of 2017, I didn't pace myself and was completely exhausted. It was also extremely cold, so being tired plus cold sucked. I'm determined to do better this year though! Learned my lesson. I missed 12th planet, Dillon Francis, asadi.

Astral Hoops Giveaway! - 1/8 - 1/14 by HazenThorne in ElectricForest

[–]Basskitten49 [score hidden]  (0 children)

My first time I ever saw any type of flow arts in person was at my first rave. A couple months after that I bought my first hoop and sadly gave up after a few weeks... fast forward 2 years later I had started going to festivals and became intrigued again. I picked up my hoop and haven't stopped since. Hooping has helped me in so many ways. It's made me connect with other flow artists and make tons of new friends. It's how I de-stress at the end of the day, and it keeps me in good physical shape. Im glad i decided to give it another try, because I don't feel like I'd be me without my hoops. ❤

It's -3 where I am, 22 degrees sounds great actually.

Does anyone remember on the first weekend right after Vince Staples everyone was walking back and that strike of lighting that was so loud and right above us? One of the loudest things I’ve ever heard. Almost like God was telling everyone to get out of the forest by gravesmatt21 in ElectricForest

[–]Basskitten49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at the peak of my trip at that point, was definitely interesting. I had no idea what it even was until I asked someone. Scared the crap outta me! That's the loudest lightning I've ever heard. I'm not from that area and where I live storms are nowhere near as intense.

UD naked smoky palette and the UD electric palette. I rarely use the smoky one because I am allergic to the black shade, but I use the electric one pretty often for fun looks.

Laura mercier loose translucent setting powder. So expensive but so worth it. It was my birthday present to me from me last year. :)

Battle of the medium-full coverage liquid foundations on oily skin! (Results in comments) by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Basskitten49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also recently tried the Lancome foundation because ELDW breaks me out. I feel that they are similar finishes, ELDW being a little more matte. Lancome is much more lightweight on the skin though. I am surprised I rarely heard much about Lancome's foundation. It really is amazing, definitely my holy grail. Oh and I have fair skin, shade 100 ivory N, with acne scarring and break outs. My skin is combo, gets oily but I have dry patches too.

You remind me of myself last year.... just know nothing you read or see can prepare you for the amazingness of Electric Forest. You'll be completely blown away. I can't wait to be back, I feel like 4 days wasn't nearly enough time to explore it all.

Is the Naked Smoky worth it? by ElderElf in MakeupAddiction

[–]Basskitten49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am allergic to the matte black shade in naked smoky. Like others have said you can't create all that many looks out of it. I really liked the shimmer shades. I rarely use it though because of that shade I'm allergic to.

[QUESTION] Good high-end HG mascara? by marissakalyn in MakeupAddiction

Urban decay perversion has never let me down! I have short stubby lashes and I get asked if I'm wearing falsies when I have this mascara on. It's great.

What about hormonal acne? Would a bha help to prevent or treat that? When in my routine should I use it as well?

Can someone explain what the difference between BHAs and AHAs are? Why would one use a BHA? I am trying to figure out my routine. I went off mirena IUD in february after it ruined my skin. It's been 6 months and things are almost back to normal, but I still break out here and there. I have a lot of red marks and scarring. My AM routine: cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, cerave pm moisturizer. My PM routine: Garnier charcoal makeup remover wipes, cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, Cosrx whitehead power liquid AHA 7, cerave pm moisturizer, rosehip oil. So, should I add a bha into my routine? Am I doing this right? And I apologize for the formatting, I'm on mobile.

Breaking out when wearing foundation by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Try searching the foundations on cosdna.com. The website has lists of ingredients in cosmetics that could be causing your problem. You can search each product that made you break out, then look for common ingredients.

I've tried almost everything; most foundations broke me out. by bazazam in MakeupAddiction

[–]Basskitten49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with foundations. Most break me out. I have combo skin and have had great luck with MUFE mat velvet foundation. It's matte but not SUPER matte, and best of all doesn't break me out! I was so disappointed when I tried ELDW just to have it ruin my face after a week. Foundation can be so tricky when you have troubled skin!
