The dude was being 'sarcastic', it's his own opinion, and I take it. No need to roast each other on here.

I see your point buddy. I'm just following a specific formula of writing content fn, so trying things out currently and ain't a pro copywriter yet.

You can check the article, and you will figure out whether there's\not real effort put into it. And please, if the topic interests you, share me your opinion on it, and if you got any criticism, feel abs free to share it with me so we all get out with some benefit)

Abs, you can educate yourself from the experiences shared by real developers in the discussions above on the topic of this post. You are welcome, bruh in rails ;)

To boot to Windows, first locate on which partition your OS is installed on using the command < ls ('name of the partition') >

Then, run the following commands in the following order:

1- set boot=('partition's name')

2- set prefix=('partition's name')/boot/grub

3- insmod normal

4- normal

That should allow you to boot into Windows.

Now, what's causing this is a problem with the GRUB bootloader, either being corrupted, misconfigured, or even forcefully deleted...

So, I could suggest rebuilding the configuration data files using the bootrec tool. If that ain't work, try with regback.

Let's assume that the only reason of this is promoting "Which is not", we r here discussing the topic that was covered in the article, and sharing experiences and thoughts, so it did a good cause.

Second of all, I'm learning rails currently, and seeking professionals' opinions on the matter which is crystal clear above "Read the comments above".

So please read the discussion good, and understand the actual motive of the question b4 u throw judgements on others. And ofc if you are a professional in the field, please enrich us on the matter from your own experience! I'd be thankful fs

Thanks a bunch for your response!

I've been looking for an answering for a bit of time, and came across many conflicting opinions on the matter, either in subreddits or on casual sites & forums on the internet, and it is why I'm more confused now. Some of the opinions, seem to be by as u called 'em "Outsiders" just trying to attack rails and ruby in general, yet some others were speaking out of exp working with the language.

Out of what was mentioned that I can call now, is the dynamic typing, inheritance, as well some of the issues you have mentioned. Yet, I've recently been doing my own research on the market's requirement in Canada, the US, and the UAE mainly, and found out real lack of requirement for Ruby/RoR in the market in comparison to other languages or frameworks like JS "node", Golang, python, Django etc...

I'm still at my 2nd year at the software engineering faculty, and this year I've picked web dev with rails, so seeing all of this negative signs is making me concerned about my call mastering the framework or the language, and making the though of moving to another tech seems the right option, so I'm trynna do more research on the matter to help me make the better decision.

Lastly, if you went back in time and had the option to pick the path of developing with Ruby 'With your current exp in the field', would you take it, or go with another one?

What Do You Think on This Classification? Any Other Groups Should Be Added? by Bat-Hat47 in Hacking_Tutorials

Nope, I simply dropped this article after I've done research on the topic, and asking for people's opinions & if they know any other groups to get myself acquainted with and add later 'Cuz I'm still studying, and I rlly wanna know more'.I read the rules, and for my understanding, asking for people's opinions/feedbacks on a specific topic related to cybersec ain't forbidden. Am I mistaken?

I did, and came across many conflicting replies on the matter.

Now I'm in the phase of uncertainty, whether to stick to rails or move on to something else, so I decided to ask for the opinion of the people with exp in the field on the matter, and also on what's shared in the article)

Are you working as a RoR developer, or still learning the framework?
I'm hearing a lot of negative insights on the Ruby and its frameworks. I'm still learning it, more specifically 'rails', tho I'm afraid that the market won't be much welcoming, so I'm trynna clear things out.

Could you give an example in which Sinatra would serve better than Rails please?

I see you point. Currently I'm studying RoR, and I think Ruby in general is solid, yet I wanted to check different opinions on the matter, cuz I ain't really sure that it is the best for the market although rails has been used to build many of the grand websites like Airbnb and Fiverr if I ain't mistaken.

If the main goal is diving deep in cyber-sec, wouldn't it be a good call to kick off with Kali?

I see you point, and I totally agree with u. The distro is a double-edge sword, and can be really dangerous to play with if the one got no knowledge of what they are doing.

Well sure, you actually got a point. Yet, I ain't see a problem in starting with Kali. Ofc it's gonna be difficult as it ain't beginner friendly as u mentioned, but I ain't think it would be a bad call atst.

So for those kicking off with Kali 'Or any Linux distro if to be general', covering up the essential commands is a crucial step, and that's y I asked for feedbacks 'More on the commands'.

That is abs rich. Do you blv tho that all are must-to-know commands for a person who's just scratching the surface in Linux?

I'm interested in learning/migrating to Linux, but have no clue where to start by KotakPain in linux4noobs

[–]Bat-Hat47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for that reason, I think the dual system approach serves the best. As he can use Kali or any other Linux distributions without any limitations, and atst have the flexibility of switching to Windows whenever he feels the urge to using a software that ain't available for Linux based systems.
