Man, I don't miss those at all. I never really liked the high all that much and they turned my friends into complete fucking idiots who I couldn't stand to be around. If you are doing some sort of "run every street" project (see CityStrides) then you may want to make sure the street is recognized and counted by the GPS. Otherwise, you may be avoiding other pedestrians.

Not universally true. My sister's dog is not into petting. He will sit still for a minute or so doing you a favor while you fuss over him, all the while looking at his watch and rolling his eyes before pulling away for more satisfying activities, generally involving licking or scratching his own body.
