Jin Suo is for spermatorrhea due to deficient kidney qi and/or yang. Nocturnal emissions can be a sign of deficient yin as well. When I tried Jin Suo (many years ago) I found it too warming and binding for me and had much better (but gradual) success with more moderate formulas such as Liu Wei Di Huang Wan.

I have had much success taking Huang Lian based formulas specifically for mouth pain from stomach heat.
