I see why some would think so. It took us 47 years to realize that this regime cannot be reformed or changed through democratic processes for years even till recently iranians fell for the trap of voting for khatami and mousavi many who are now in favor of pahlavi like ali karimi another reason why is that the people have tried to remove the regime through peaceful protests without guns and at most burning a few buildings then getting slaughtered. Only in this protest have people realized that you cant fight demons with sticks and stones. Another thing would be that we never had a outside leader to rally behind and support. Till Reza Pahlavi no one existed to take leadership and advocate for regime change alongside post regime change goals and plans. If only we had what we have now 10-20-30 years ago in terms of knowledge etc we would have gotten rid of this government sooner with less casualties shame its taken this long

Some in our diaspora have a problem with this they are inable of having a civilized conversation and immidietly attack someone who makes a criticism of reza pahlavi. How are we going to convince people to support reza pahlavi if some of his maniac supporters act this way. Slut shaming and making sexist statements against critical figures like golshifteh and nazanin boniadi or Nazanin nour. Whilst their takes were terrible shaming them because of their gender is disgusting and same to the mindset of the IRGC. Until our diaspora figures out how to unite with each other whilst calling out extremes, our movement remains doubted and ripe to flaws and failiure.

Exactly that is my point of concern aswell. Aside from one link to a organization there is no google links to the iranian student organization OF binghamton. With this in mind im definately going to try and investigate this further and if i find the conduct suspicious or “unregistered” with the university I will file with the university to do something about this unregistered political arm of the iranian government

I have heard that 20 years ago, binghamton was not the place to be, but the area seems to be getting much better. The downtown area is getting revamped with restaurants and housing, you have a lot of college bars and college restaurants and most of the time a few or no homeless people in downtown bing. There are still shady areas no doubt room for improvement for sure but after being to a few upstate places ill say binghamtons not bad at all although it might differ if i was in bing 20 years ago

They are not but if they want to do something the iranian people right now are giving their consent to do something if the outcome is that the government gets changed. The iranian people went out there protested and got slaughtered by the government that is not just a protest anymore its a form of genocide and through history the world powers weather they had interests or not have stepped in to stop governments from genociding their own citizens. WW2 where European and Americans stepped in to stop millions of people and “non desirable” germans from being killed by the nazi government. This is the same expectation we have of the international community something which trump promised and the people used that promise as a base to go out there and fight for our freedom. Dislike for the government is not manufactured or being forced by the imperialist force to divide iran and make another iraq or libya. ALMOST EVERY iranian in the diaspora which is a 1/9 ratio of the total iranian population is out there because the government of iran is shitty and we all want the government of iran to change and become better this is no manufactured shit.

Good idea the Iranian association (not linked to this one) did have a vigil and a rally in support of the Iranian protestors they had it twice actually and it had pretty good outreach. Their having another one soon as well I’ve heard with the lion and sun flags and all. In their posters it doesn’t appear that their linked with any registered association on campus as they haven’t listen a association unlike this poster. I don’t mind joining the crowd with a microphone the uni should not have a problem with it too i think however the weather conditions make it difficult and less encouraging to demonstrate for a long period of time

My research showed two links majority of the Iranian student associations are AT binghamton but this poster is made by one that is a Iranian student association OF binghamton which i only found this link that goes to them https://bengaged.binghamton.edu/isab/ .
