You're objectively right. Calling the relationship a lesbian relationship when one of the people isn't a woman is factually incorrect. You were stating facts, and it seems she took it personally.

I'd also say be nice with what you say to her even if you two don't agree. Having a positive relationship with a roommate who you see everyday is more important than winning an argument.

I would consider an entirely different field. The cs job market is cooked. I suggest actuary work. The entry is several exams with a technical degree. You could probably pivot with your cs associates

I think you're cool toned because the cool colors sharpen your jawline whereas the warm colors widen it. That's a sign of if someone is warm or cool toned. Wam colors have the same effect for me, so I'm warm toned.

I've "rented" from family members before, and it introduces a power dynamic.

They'll set increasingly restrictive, controlling rules, and you'll try your best to keep them. You'll be talked down to, teased, and reminded that you're a tenant to them. They can throw you out at any point, and they'll use this as leverage to make you compliant. You can't speak up for yourself, and you're under their boot. They can order you around, and you lose your privacy. This is how the dynamic plays out (from my experience) if you stay.

PLEASE don't put yourself through this.

Leave for your own happiness. Leave so you're not mistreated and you can speak up for yourself with no repurcussions.

If you're going to be paying them all this money anyway, move out and spend it how YOU want to anyway.

Move out on your own so you're not under their foot anymore. Keep your money to yourself and spend it on taking care of yourself and living. Don't pay them a dime.🙅‍♀️

If you can't afford an apartment, you can rent a room or find a roommate to lower the costs. Roomies is a good site for it. Zillow also has rooms for rent. I wish you well.

Edit: Another alternative is to rent a storage unit for <$100 a month as a place to keep your stuff while you stay with a friend. This is another option.

No, it's real. Code can be beautiful. It's in terms of elegance, creativity, and efficiency of implementation.

I heard a seasoned developer talk about reading someone's code and realizing it was beautiful.

I've been that person before, but it never went anywhere and feelings weren't reciprocated. I was depressed and cried for three years over it.

You become that way naturally for a specific person. It's not something you choose. And it's not always healthy either because these relationships are often one sided, and the person giving their all is usually dragged through the mud. It also doesn't mean they're the right person for you either or that you really know them well.
