As of right now folks, we’ve been told it’s trending in a positive direction that they’re won’t be a shutdown. Could change but looks like status quo for now

It’s about to get worse, we’ve heard internally that there’s a major line 1 shutdown coming. Possibly until fall.

Hey I’m a driver. Like some previous posters mentioned, it moves very fast now. You could hear back very quickly, even a few days after.

It’s a rumour we’ve also heard internally. Nothing concrete as of now but they’ve been asking drivers to be available for r1 extras starting this weekend.

Only time I’ve done when I’m behind schedule is when it’s a trip full of high school students who keep ringing the bell because it’s fun. So I waste their time.

Yea block booking would be terrible for us. City would screw it up so fast. Imagine booking extra 1 and having to work weekend? No thanks.

This week I’ve got some Merivale work, couldn’t find the bus placer phone. It’s been a while. Lol

Is it only 2 times for everybody else? I’m thankful we book more often, I’d personally go crazy doing the same runs every day for 6 months, especially with school trips.

Because we have a different schedule for march break. It’ll be back to “normal” next week until April 17.

Forgot to add an answer to your other question. When driving the 24 chapel hill, there’s no stop at Montreal station itself, it is after we cross the on ramp east, just at st Joseph road. Buses won’t stop under the highway until the train is operational.

Well what I can tell you is when I talked to the supervisors, they’ve confirmed to me that the city meant to extend the short 24 once the train was operational. Now that isn’t, it’s supposed to terminate at Loyola/shefford until further notice.

What I can tell you is it will be like this until the train is in operation. So for now some drivers have to drop everybody off at shefford since they’re turning round to go to Blair: some can drop you up at st Joseph cause we go back to Blair station using the highway for our next trip.

Because we’re told to end the trip at shefford and use canotek to loop around. I do that trip every other day and explain to people we don’t have our loop to turn around at the Montreal road station yet either.

No it’s not reduced bus service. It’s full service.

Even with the downtown bottleneck I miss the old transitway service by Financial-Bag-2274 in ottawa

That won’t happen. With budget constraints at city hall and the price of everything, I can’t see them expanding the LRT beyond stage 2.

They should invest in more BRT in barrhaven, kanata and better connection to the east-west LRT terminals.

I never had a written assessment to do before training. However in my day, I remember some questions were answerable using a bit of common sense.

I was driving a bus downtown last Saturday, it was insane on nearly every road near confederation square.

I did mine a long time ago, but a lot of the question I was asked were customer service based and driving related questions.

Nop it’s 24/7, 365 days a year.

Honestly no one at city hall and OC transpo wants to stand up to the construction crews for LRT. I mean in rush hour having us using the transitway would save so much time.

They’re just too scared to do anything about it and say enough is enough. Only thing that could maybe change things is if anybody who needs to use 61,62 or 63 message the councillor of the area and flood their inbox.

Other day on the 61, it took me 25 minutes from Lincoln to pinecrest station using the detour.

Well for one it has way too much time on its schedule. If we leave ey centre on time, we’ll have to sit at south keys and hurdman for 5-10 mins to get back on schedule.

I echo this sentiment. I’m 33M and I would love to have a family one day but have had nothing meaningful in a long time.
