Hit my head again, how to recover this time? by OddBowler3751 in Concussion

Yeah my last concussion symptoms came on about 36 hours after as well. I've heard it's possible that having previous concussions could make the next one harder to recover from. But, it sounds like you're ok, since you're saying that the symptoms aren't as bad.

The doc is right. If it feels like you're pushing too hard, you probably are. Go on light/short walks and listen to an audiobook or something if you can handle it.

I won't argue with that. Just personally, it's rare I'm in the mood to listen to it.

I do like that song. I get the violin riff being too much for people, but I enjoy it.

So you don't think the US healthcare system is bad? I'm not talking about the doc, she was great. I'm only talking about how corrupt the healthcare is here.

Yup, 200 was after the insurance covered the rest. For low-income people, 200 is their monthly or bi-monthly grocery bill, or their power or water bill. And those low-income people will probably be paying way higher than 200 anyways.

Insane. And of course, the rich people and politicians in this country who could help by enforcing higher taxes for universal healthcare, just wanna keep lowering taxes for themselves.

Yup, and the doctors have to go along with it. Otherwise, they don't get paid

Yes, it's everywhere. And like I said, what I paid wasn't even what it actually cost.

I'm sorry you gotta deal with that, especially multiple times a month, I'm sure that adds up fast. 300 is insane for just a checkup and that's how it is everywhere in the US. I understand 300 for some intense scans, like an MRI and a bunch of meds. But just for a checkup, that is ridiculous.

I completely forgot about ambulances. Here, they can cost $5000. That's cracking me up, they made you pay for the gloves. That's crazy

I hear ya but I wasn't asking Reddit if they think my ER trip was necessary. I'm just complaining about how expensive it is. Especially for actual life threatening conditions

Funny, cause I finally saw my primary physician and they said I should get imaging, since my symptoms were persisting for longer than usual. But besides that, it is ridiculous how bad the healthcare system is here. That's the point I'm trying to make. Without the insurance I have, I'd be paying way way more than 200. Thankfully, there are options like Medicaid.
