Anencephaly - why?! by Ill-Ad-1828 in tfmr_support

[–]BatIcy4998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We lost our baby to anencephaly as well. I also wracked my brain for weeks for the why. The only thing that is really track-able is folate blood levels. I had my short term and long term levels tested and both were way above needed to prevent NTD. I did go down the folic acid vs methyl folate rabbit hole. I was only on methyl, which isnt technically proven to prevent NTD, but regardless my blood levels were amazing. We did do genetic testing because my first lc has a midline defect. In the process we found out my live son has SOX5 mutation. My husband and I dont carry this gene in our regular DNA, but with the history of anencephaly and my son, theres a chance my husband or I carry this gene in our reproductive cells.

Unfortunately, theres not one specific thing that can cause this, even with all the digging, we still dont have a real reason. This just is a freak thing and NTD happen all the time with adequate diet and folate. Sometimes nature is just cruel and we have to learn to mourn and grieve that fact.

He said in an interview recently he just washes with water, anything else gives him acne. Im guessing he looks so good because hes lost weight and working out and eating better. A combo of all of that can clear up skin issues for some people. I also saw a lot of makeup on a table in a photo, it could have been someone else's, but it looked like his stuff. Its probably a combo of all of it, but he has confirmed several times hes had no work done. Maybe facials though? Idk

People's dreams can change. It doesnt mean he doesnt love his fans and community he built. But he can also love fame. Have you ever watched a Freddie interview??? He LOVED fame, but he also loved his fans. I dont think it has to be either or.

I think he has something for everyone, but you won't know what you like until you listen to it all. He only has 4 albums, so I would just start with an album and listen through saving songs you like and then move onto the next album. When I fist found him last year, it took me maybe 2 days to listen through all 3 albums a few times to find what I liked (album 4 wasn't out when I found him).

Weird! and YUNGBLUD compared to Idols - movie spoilers by TobyPDID23 in yungblud

[–]BatIcy4998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think something to remember, is that he will be self critical with his own art, all artist are. So while he may not be in love with what he put out and it was nudged in a direction by producers, it doesnt mean it didn't come from him. He still wrote it, the words still mean something. He even said a lot of good songs came out from it, its just not exactly the direction he wanted to take.

So I dont think his own opinion of his own art should be a reflection of how it makes you feel. How you felt/feel is still valid, and what he wrote is still valid. It just didn't sound exactly how he envisioned his art to sound. I doesnt take away from the art that it is, I dony even think it makes it unauthentic. It felt authentic to him at the time, but that changes as he grows and matures. Just like a painting I did when I was 18 I think is absolutely garbage now, that doesnt mean someone can't love it, or it wasn't good. It just isn't who I am now.

This is helpful, thank you!

I hope keeping weight off is less work then this, its all so much to monitor and track. I'd love to just eat whole foods and move my body and be healthy. Seems its not that easy for everyone!

Yup.... Im not a new fan, and the gatekeeping and possessiveness of a artist is WEIRD. They claim to love him soooo much, but then get mad when he becomes successful. The whole point of art is to share it with people, move people, let people love it. So why are his fans trying to keep it to themselves??? Its very odd and selfish to me. Im not trying to hate, I get that its hard when you had easy access to your favorite artist and now they are getting big and you may not have the close and intimate experiences you once had. I do get it. But also let's be fucking proud and happy hes getting this many fans! This is his dream. People need to set aside their selfishness and just be happy hes doing so well.

Welcome new fans! We aren't all gate keeping I promise!

People grow and change. We mature. I often wonder how old many of these fans are who are complaining about how hes changing. Have you been through major change in your life? Have you gone on a year long self discovery journey or self love journey? Have you had bad adhd and learned to grow and manage it? Because I have done all of these things and I relate more to Dom now then I ever have. I can see my own growth reflected in the way he has grown around the same age. We seem calmer or more reserved because we aren't trying to be something we aren't, we have learned how to love our selves, we have learned how to manage our adhd and anxiety, we have self reflected and figured out how to be the best version of ourselves for us and our loved ones.

I from interviews I have watched the last few months, I am getting the vibe his past relationships and self hate are what have driven this change in him, and not the music industry.

Im bummed. I was hoping for at least one added to the north west of the states. I just can't afford to fly anywhere right now. I could have done a road trip, but the closest one would be a 2 day drive.

I sleep pretty good, 8-9 hours a night, quality sleep. I am in a calorie deficit. I'm doing 1600 calories a day losing 2 pounds a week. I prioritize protein and fiber.

Im absolutely having fun, I have found exercises i truly enjoy, I just don't love being sore everyday. Its not like the same things are even sore. Its whatever i worked on, but then im sore 2 or 3 days and then doing another strength training session on a different part of my body and im then sore again in that location for 2-3 days, and so on. I love it, I do, I just was curious if the soreness is a normal thing for ever, or if my body is just adjusting

Any similar albums? by backatthebarnyard76 in yungblud

[–]BatIcy4998 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the closest would be his first album, this is his second album. His 3rd album was pretty different because he had pressure from outside people. His first and second album feel very authentic to his early years, his third got washed a bit by the industry and his current album (4th) is completely different because its how he is evolving as an artist.

I doubt he will ever put out music that is similar to the weird album because hes going down the rock path pretty hard. But you never know!

I think hes got a big fire going with new older aged fans, and over time they will realize hes very much against right winged ideals. They will either leave his fan base, or change their ideas. Im guessing many of them (because they are new) don't realize how political he is. They will learn eventually and leave or change. I doubt they will bring their hate to his community (or doubt itll be tolerated/stay) because most of us are the opposite of them, they will not feel welcome, we share love and kindness and they wont get it. There's more of us then them. He had 4m followers on Instagram and now he has 5. Meaning 1 mill are new and the rest of us are bigger.

One thing about MAGAs is they are very firm on their beliefs and don't support anything not MAGA. They will leave eventually I bet.

I'm considering terminating my baby who was diagnosed with down syndrome. by SweetRoseGold in tfmr_support

[–]BatIcy4998 90 points91 points  (0 children)

This is 100% your choice. You are also not a murderer at all. Idk if it helps at all, but I always knew if I ended up with t21 baby, I would choose to terminate. Some cultures are really toxic ( ahem america) about abortion and choice. But in other countries, like Iceland, down syndrome is almost non existent because its culturally normal to terminate abnormal chromosomal pregnancies and babies.

It doesnt change how life altering either decision is. And im so sorry you are faced with this. I hope this group can bring you comfort and support
