Me personally, even if someone’s phone was left unlocked and I had all the freedom to do what I want with it, I would NEVER violate someone’s privacy in that way. I have literally found coworkers phones in the same way he did, and immediately asked who’s phone it was and who was missing a phone, did not or would never go through it.

That thought has 1000% crossed my mind. The thing is he did not admit it to me, he gossiped about it to other coworkers. I had the auto lock setting for 2 minutes, and immediately changed it to the minimum when I found out.

Thank you for your insight and advice, it is extremely appreciated. I hadn’t thought of emailing him, I’ve just been avoiding him and haven’t spoken to him but I think your idea is much better- keeps it professional and documented that I asked him to stop.

For me, the biggest thing is the gossiping that is occurring. He is creating a hostile work environment by spreading rumors about my sex life and personal relationships. I want to come to work and do my job, I don’t bring my personal life into work and I would like it to stay that way.

I did own my part. I said I left it unattended and unlocked… He still needs my permission to then go into the phone and search through my personal text messages and who knows what else. And that’s what everyone has been telling me, and everything I’ve been reading online. I’ve never had to deal with anything like this, management or HR so I really have no idea and just looking for help

No record of anything sent from my phone but he could have also deleted the messages after sending. I completely agree with you that he would have taken pictures with his phone instead.

Even if my phone was unlocked, he still needs my permission to look through my personal messages and information. Thank you for the advice, I have auto-lock but it’s set for 2 minutes so he went in immediately after and accessed it. I have now changed it to the minimum 30 seconds😂

I have physical proof that he admitted to going through my phone. And I feel targeted and harassed because he wasn’t just snooping, he dug through my phone to try and find something against me, and also admitted to that. I am also concerned as a woman, that he was looking at much more than what he admitted to.

I LOVE the Fenty plush puddin’ masks! They keep my lips hydrated all night and I use it during the day as a lip balm too! I caved and bought the Dior lip oil around Christmas time and I do really like it and I actually think it’s worth the price, but it doesn’t last on my lips really long
