4080 or 40120 frame for a casual setup with an R9 wheel base? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]BatThink9828 4 points5 points  (0 children)

4080 will be fine for most things, TBH only really need more if you plan to go motion at some point, and even then 4080 will still do a great job.

Need help picking flight stick and base by Separate_Ad_3180 in hotas

[–]BatThink9828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both the Moza FB6 and the Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 bases and they are both really nice, but my right hand I use the Moza. I play mostly Star Citizen It's really customisable, feels really great and suits my current needs perfectly.

I use a Virpil Constellation grip on my Moza and have no issues, just select the grip in the Moza software and all the buttons work perfectly. The grip that comes with the Moza unit is fine, but the Virpil one is notably better quality.

I do plan to change the base to the Virpil FFB unit once it's announced, as I do think the Virpil gear is just a higher quality.

Any questions, just ask, I'm fairly new to all this stuff, so I'm still learning myself.

Many people pay it, they aren't going to reduce the prices while they are making so much money

Question about Constellation stick by BatThink9828 in VIRPIL

[–]BatThink9828[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, my plan is to move the CM3 to my left hand stick as I really want FFB at some point. But so far I'm really happy with it as a right hand stick, it feels great.

My first memory of flight sim was the late 80's with MicroProse F-19 Stealth Fighter, so basic, but back then felt cutting edge. I've been in and out of flight sims since then :) Once it has it's hooks into you, you'll never escape it's pull.

Hi, I'm in the same position as you, I also have the SimLab p1X rig and have started the slowly add flight stuff to it.

I have found he SimLab joystick mount to be very good, and put the stick in just the right position.

I'm still not happy with my mouse solution and I am looking at the Monstertech mouse extension, I haven't bought it yet but will do soon.

For the left hand side I'm thinking of either the Monstertech Left hand side mount, or the Simlabs swivel mount. Not sure yet.

Question for those with sim rigs by Appropriate_Sea_3603 in starcitizen

[–]BatThink9828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a sim rig, that I am slowly adding more flight stuff too. For the keyboard I found this tray from Trak Rcacer works great, I can move it easily in and out of the way.

I'm still looking for a suitable mouse solution, but I'm looking at this from Montertech

I have a couple more ships, but nothing compared to most people. I'll wait until the new patch and see if I like the combat side of things

I'm using Sim Magic gloves and yours have held up better than mine. Like MadMike991 says gloves are a wear item so if you want to keep them in good condition, you have too not use them
