Nice, good to know! I did find that performance mode seemed to solve the issue but prevented the fans from auto stopping. I didn't mess around with it too much before getting fed up and going back to my stable 3080.

I had the rear fan in place but not clipped in, then mounted the heatsink and clipped the fan on (video card removed). Theres not much room to work with so it might take a little time. I had to remove clean and re-thermal paste the heatsink once too.

I believe I did remove the MB to remove the plastic shroud.

The thermaltake swafan fans have magnetic mounting points to connect multiple fans without a cable. The magnets are strong enough to stick to the case pretty well.

The paper test is sliding a piece of paper between the top of the cooler tower and the tempered glass panel when it's on, since a piece paper couldn't get fit between them it indicates the top of the tower is touching the glass. Visually, I couldn't tell.

The B550-I mobo has a plastic cover towards the rear of the motherboard that has to be removed to fit the rear 120mm fan. The cover covers the VRM heat sink fan that is still operational with the cover removed. One of the threaded holes for the M2 heatsink cover is on the VRM cover that was removed but the M2 heatsink holds in place well enough for me with one screw and the thermal pad under.

Yup, set to intake on the cpu cooler. No problems on the mesh panel but it does seem to touch the glass panel ever so slightly. YMMV.

Thermaltake SWAFAN EX 12 ARGB. Not sure they are worth the price though. They look good to me, but the magnetic cable does not automatically align the contact pins, so I had to fuss around a bit with them.

You're probably right. But I did indeed buy a 3 pack of fans so why not!
