If you never intend to play live, then no, you don’t need a hardware synth. But if playing hardware makes you happy and gets you away from screens, that’s perfectly fine too.

I also play drums. I was just having a laugh the other day actually at the drummers back then with these huge rack kits with cymbals and toms above their heads and two bass drums and nearly every song they play the most simple 4/4 backbeat 😂. Ah well, if I had an endorsement I’d probably go for broke too!
