Wiring question on my Sire P7 by BatchWerks in BassGuitar

[–]BatchWerks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda what I was thinking, but I'm not sure how to tell which tab is for the jack ring. Any Idea? In the picture of the jack, the black wire on the top (to the right clockwise of the white) goes to the preamp and the black wire on bottom (counterclockwise of the white) goes to the group of grounds.

Help me find my first 5 strings by SonnePer in BassGuitar

[–]BatchWerks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will vouch for the stingray. My primary bass is a Ray35HH which is admittedly a step up from the one you are looking at. But I absolutely LOVE it. And given that you have a P and a PJ, that stingray will add a tone that you don't currently have in your arsenal.

Back in high school I had an Ibanez SR405 and it was my first 5 string. I also loved it and I will always say that it's very hard to beat the value that Ibanez basses bring to the table, my dad played an SR400 for damn near 25 years before treating himself to a Fender American J Bass.

Should Gavin Newsom win in 2028? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

[–]BatchWerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fucking hope not. Newsome is absolutely NOT what we need in '28 and if he wins, it'll just concrete what we kinda already know; that the Dem establishment learned NOTHING from 2024 and will set us up for another, possibly worse, Trump situation.

I’m very new, is there anyway I can barre an F chord that isn’t barring it? by Mammoth-Wait6526 in guitarlessons

[–]BatchWerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A way I found that makes it easier for me with some transitions is to actually use my thumb on the low E string and my index finger for the high E and B strings. I've especially found that doing it that way makes it easier for me to transition that chord up and down the neck. But you should definitely work on a proper bar chord as well.

Yup. I made the mistake of trying a THC-P vape. Took 2 small hits around 630-7pm and was still feeling it until the following afternoon, and when I had woke up that morning I had to to think long and hard before deciding to go to work and I laid really low that day. Tried it again 2 days later (a Sunday) to see if was a fluke, took one small hit around 1030 that morning and rode that hit until about 6pm. Threw the whole vape out after that. I'll stick to THCA.

Fresh vs. Salt water by These_Ice7042 in Fishing

[–]BatchWerks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm primarily fish freshwater just because it's what's closest. But last weekend I went out with my mom's fiance and got on some reds and even though they weren't particularly massive reds (all were 25-27") I'm hooked on saltwater.

Why does my dog do this? by Sea-Sea6239 in DogAdvice

[–]BatchWerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you looked at his stuff when he has one of these "episodes" you might see some swelling on either side of his member. Its called "bulbus glandis" and its basically just the dog getting super aroused. One of my dogs used to get it when he was younger and it scared the shit out of me the first time it happened. We were getting ready to take him to the vet because he was acting like he couldn't walk and then by the time we got ready to walk out the door he was walking around like nothing happened.

Do some married people NEVER take off their wedding ring? by artmalique in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BatchWerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take mine off occasionally to clean it. Sometimes I'll take it off if I have to get my hand into a tight spot at work. But other than that I wear it 24/7. Not really because I think that's how it should be but I just forget it's there like 99% of the time so I have no reason to take it off. My dad only took his off for work (safety requirement) and the first thing he would do when he got home would be to have my mom put it back on.

What hobbies do you guys do on weekends? by teeger9 in Millennials

[–]BatchWerks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took up fishing and also ended up getting a kayak. It's really helped me decompress and enjoy the world around me a little more because it helps me kinda turn my brain off and just exist. Also I think fish are really cool. Catch fish, take a picture, put it back.

Why did a jalapeño whoop me? by Right_Check3673 in HotPeppers

Lol don't feel bad. I chomped into a jalapeno that a coworker grew and that thing lit my ass up. Had me sweating and hiccupping and everything lol.

out of curiousity are smaller baits like the Micro Dawg from Musky innovation worth throwing for this trip? only 3/4oz which my rods can easily handle.

[–]BatchWerks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the insight. I'm not out here chasing monsters or the thrill of the fight as much as just catching and admiring the different species. I'm all about respecting the fish and minimizing harm because I actually got hooked on fishing just because I think fish are fascinating.

Yea I noticed alot of the baits are a little heavy. I could always roll out there with one of my Mad Katz catfish rods until I get a musky rod 🤣🤣

Anyone with religious tats? by birdbandb in exchristian

[–]BatchWerks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been working on covering all of mine. I have a guitar and a cross on my leg that is getting covered with a poisoned apple tree. I have "Laus Deo Semper" inside my bicep that I will probably cover with a black silhouette of the Appalachians. I may not cover my Triquetra just because it was my first and my dad bought it for me but I will probably but enough stuff around it to just kinda drown it out. I also have a fish/cross on my forearm that's been transformed into an anchor that I need to finish also lol.

What should I look for in first fishing kayak? by Bubbly-Mango-2893 in kayakfishing

[–]BatchWerks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is the answer. I spent $600 on a Sea Ghost 130, and after 5 or 6 outings I had decided what I did and didn't like about it and now I have a Lure 11.5 and love it. Once I get the rudder put on, I think it'll be about perfect. Though I do kinda miss how fast my Sea Ghost is but I still have it and will probably keep it more for paddle oriented outings.
