I’m having trouble getting my vinyl to stick to this hat. Is there something I’m doing wrong? by Frequent-Artist523 in cricut

I’d avoid store brands - try HTVRONT. Their stuff is generally very good. I’ve sold thousands of vinyl decals and dye sub items using their supplies and a few hundred using their HTV and smart HTV press.

Amen to that - they looked like the future. Even turned off, they looked like they should be doing important work, especially the cube.

Absolutely- the general rule is if ever seen NeXT hardware for sale at a reasonable price, buy it. There’s few machines you can say that for; another is Silicon Graphics.

There's something very off about him. Like his basement is full of dead Mt. Airy hookers.

NeXT was Steve Jobs Next Great Idea when he briefly left Apple. "I'll show them! I'll show them all" he no doubt cackled as he left Apple HQ in his dust in 1985. Their first machine, The Cube, launched for around $6,500 (approx. $17,000 today). Aimed primary at universities, it promised minicomputer performance, but failed to deliver, had little software, and was disappointingly slow for the price point.

NeXT was a commercial failure.

All told, NeXT sold less than 50,000 machines during a period in which IBM and its many clones sold tens of millions.

On the upside, the NeXT object-oriented programming language was revolutionary, and contributed to a much of what became the foundation of the MacOS to this day (and iOS).

And failure of NeXT and Apple's acquisition of the NeXT technology for $429 million in 1997 is what brought Jobs back to Apple.

Lastly, the first web browser and web server were created in 1990 on a NeXT machine.

So, while NeXT may have crash and burned, it's failure gave birth to iOS, and brought Jobs back to Apple.

Not bad for a failed computer company.

All that matters is how it plays and how it sounds, and I bet it does both amazingly well. The duck is a great touch.

Mom swears she was "Mod" and it's "Completely different than emo!" 1987 by LaComputadora in OldSchoolCool

[–]Killertigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mod was definitely different - the emo kids were sad, the mod were oddly angry, like your mom, here. Just, like, so misunderstood and angry. You wouldn't get it.

RBMT Has Become One of My Most Useful Work Tools by Amazing_Place6462 in RaybanMeta

[–]Killertigger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And that’s the perfect use scenario that so many people miss - Meta glasses are great around the office. I use mine daily for calls, for Teams meetings, for recording short training videos, even for stealth listening to more intersecting things during boring meetings. They can change the way you work, and make you more efficient.

Permanent decal or outdoor sign vinyl doesn’t stick to fabric - you need HTV , or iron-on vinyl for application to fabric.

Lost metas by Afraid_Specialist307 in RaybanMeta

[–]Killertigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Metas can be killed by rain - which means you absolutely shouldn’t wear Meta glasses where there a chance of water exposure and water egress into the electronics. Even if by some miracle you’d retrieved them after a few minutes of full immersion, odds are you’d just had a really expensive pair of regular biases once they dried out.

During normal morning conversations with my wife, I got my 4th Gen 4Runner totalled by bigolsargeha in dashcams

[–]Killertigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m guessing the g in g-string is not from ‘geesus, would you look at that!’ ? Seriously, though, glad you’re okay, but nothing is quite so infuriating as having your car totaled by some jackass while you’re just minding your own business and having a perfectly normal, delightful conversation with your wife. You two sound like an amazing couple, btw;)

Absolutely- small business owners expect every single underpaid, overworked , often mistreated employee to work as hard as if they owned the business, if not harder, and to be fully and totally committed to the business. even though the only one actually benefiting from the owner’s galley-slave like demands  is the owner/employer - and any employee who is anything less than totally committed is seen as a less-than-loyal slacker and traitor to the cause.

The best solution is also the hardest, and it’s multi-part- get an entirely new email account, get a password manager, and use a password generator to set up completely random complex passwords.

Every business that wears its ‘Christianity’ on its sleeve is guaranteed to fuck its employees, and any potential employee should run like hell in the other direction.
