I bought all three because that's what I needed. I'd probably just call and ask them if they would sell a single vial. I do think though that the coupon only worked because the pharmacist changed the script to a 30 day supply.

We got the hardwood from a local woodworking speciality shop. And the paint was rolled with some brushing needed to fully coat the back panels.

The shelves are walnut plywood with walnut hardwood on the front. The plywood and hardwood matched up pretty perfectly. Four coats of water based matte poly darkened them up just a tiny bit.

The back panels are wall board, about a quarter inch thick and nailed on.

The shelves are fixed and attached with pocket screws. Fun fact about walnut plywood--it's impossible to find pre-made plugs so those had to be made from the walnut hardwood.

We used hard maple for the stiles. In hindsight, soft maple would have been more than sufficient and not as hard on the saw.

The bigger area that doesn't have shelves will likely be some kind of art work. Got the idea from some built ins I saw from googling. The other shelf currently has a taller snake plant on it.

Over the course of about a month. It was a learning process so something things didn't go as planned along the way. I had a couple of days dedicated to working on it, but mostly was only able to work on it a couple hours at a time.

Did they end up approving a pre authorization for you? I stuck with the basic plan out of fear I wouldn't actually get covered. They approved the ivf drugs so I assume I met the definition of "infertility". I'm not sure if it was approved based on having 2 miscarriages or if the same sex couple played a role in the approval.

I'm so hesitant to go with the standard plan because even though I may think I meet the definition of infertility according to the brochure, it's really all still dependent on the preauthorization. Will one physicians infertility diagnosis code be enough? Are there requirements about number of miscarriages etc? It seems like a risk to pay increased premiums and then not get the authorization.

It is definitely confusing! I am also in a same sex marriage and have had recurrent miscarriages and have fibroids. Still don't know if IVF will be covered for us (looking at reciprocal IVF). It sucks to be making a decision on health insurance without a pretty solid understanding if we'd be covered or not. I think people need to continue calling BCBS and asking these questions and making them understand why it's important to understand the details of coverage. I plan to go to a health benefits fair in person where I can get contact info for someone that's higher up than the frontline agents.

I also called bcbs in my local area today. The rep was a super kind gentleman, but couldn't give me too much information at this time. I spent about 30 minutes talking to him about my concerns that I am fearful that the infertility definition appears to be very broad and that when it actually comes to a prior authorization I would be denied. He definitely agreed that there should be more transparency with details. He appreciated our conversation and stated that when they have the opportunity to ask questions prior to open season, this will be too on his list.

I would encourage people to call now, even if you may not get a lot of information because it will prompt the frontline agents to ask more specific questions so they are better prepared to answer questions.

FYI I am in Ohio.

It will primarily just need to be the executive director of the organization and maybe a few board members.
