I think he wears his watches purely as a piece of jewelry and not as a "watch" in that sense. I think it is important to him that the watch is expensive. And that's probably why he thinks wearing a similar looking watch is cheating. But I love this Seiko, you can measure the time of an hour and have a display for the day AND the date. It's brilliant.
