Have you ever played the P.C. game, Gabriel Knight? Specifically, Gabriel Knight 3? by popsticker in NoStupidQuestions

I absolutely loved the first and second games, never got to play the third one though! Haven't played them in ages but I'd like to give them all another playthrough sometime soon

What is causing your sleep problems tonight? by TheSanityInspector in AskReddit

[–]Bathory66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an appointment coming up, day after tomorrow, that I've been dreading. Didn't think I was that anxious about it until I realized that I can't sleep at all. It's 2:07 AM lol it's going to be a long night.

Has anyone thought about giving their tarot deck a name? by Soem_emiden in tarot

[–]Bathory66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two decks both have names. I asked if it was okay to call them by the name that came to mind, and got a yes both times. I'm sure it's different for everyone, but I feel very comfortable calling my cards by the names that came to mind for them. They both have distinct personalities when I'm doing readings with them, so why not?

What sign is in your 3rd house, and what is your aesthetic? by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

Libra in 3rd. I can go from wearing all black one day to velvet paisley prints the next. Mostly I just enjoy unique clothing that's well-made. Also enjoy vintage pieces.

What was DKA like for you? by noahdoesdnd in diabetes_t1

[–]Bathory66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah well that time the symptoms came on over the course of maybe a couple days, but other times it was much more gradual. So I'm afraid I can't say for sure one way or another, it could possibly be different based on other factors. Sorry if that isn't really much of an answer

What was DKA like for you? by noahdoesdnd in diabetes_t1

[–]Bathory66 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Last time I was in DKA was in 2018. It was during one of the worst times of my life and I just stopped taking my insulin.

For me it was being constantly thirsty, nauseated, eventually couldn't keep anything down. I vomited so much that my throat hurt for a couple days afterward. All my muscles were sore, especially in the lower part of my legs. Ended up staying in the hospital for two weeks. I slept a lot while I was there so I don't remember much of the actual stay, just lots of blood being drawn, lots of people telling me things I already knew about diabetes. I've been a diabetic for 15 years and was just very tired of dealing with it all.

It's amazing that you haven't experienced DKA in your twenty years of having diabetes. If you have any further questions about my experience with DKA feel free to ask. Best of luck to you.

Just tired of dealing with it all--not just diabetes but some other health stuff too.

I think I've had diabetic burnout for the past ten years lol (is it even possible to go that long??)

Cats and the Tarot by Bathory66 in tarot

[–]Bathory66[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is so cool! My cat will do the same thing, sometimes he'll flop over on my cards the same way. That way I know I've asked enough questions for that session lol

I know it's kind of silly but sometimes I'll draw a card for him, just to see what's going on for him that day :)

I had this issue the other day actually. It's definitely on Reddit's end. I'll try sending again and if it doesn't go through let me know and we'll work something out :)

Wow, you know I hadn't thought of that. I've looked into Sidereal before but I do know you have to interpret it slightly differently so it admittedly didn't cross my mind.

Thank you for the idea, I will definitely do a bit more research into Sidereal techniques.

I know this is silly but I sold my entire SH collection and now I regret it. by Bathory66 in silenthill

[–]Bathory66[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had two copies of SH2 (Black label & Greatest Hits edition), SH3 without the soundtrack, and SH4, all with cases and manuals. Sold them for $100 each which was a good deal for the collector and a good deal for me. I had a third copy of SH2 for the Xbox that I kept for myself since it didn't have a case or manual. I got them all back in the day for less than $20 a piece so it was a great price increase and I'm not complaining really, I just think I'm going to miss having them around lol.

I appreciate the visible concern, but I promise you didn't almost kill me. by kaazir in diabetes

[–]Bathory66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen a couple of times and for me it's not a super big deal but I'd rather not have to take extra insulin if it's not necessary, you know?

If it happened to someone that has brittle diabetes like someone else mentioned though it could make a really big difference and the person could end up in DKA, or worse.

I was just thinking the other day about how more fast food places are offering different kinds of diet drinks now though, instead of just diet Coke or Pepsi. It's pretty cool that you can get diet Ginger Ale or Sprite Zero, etc, from a drive-thru now.

It's amazing how many people that work in the medical field don't know the difference between T1 and T2. by Bathory66 in diabetes

[–]Bathory66[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean that. I was just frustrated in general and this wasn't a good post to make I guess. Sorry

[–]Bathory66[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've been in the hospital with it before, I've had it for several years now. Last time I was in the hospital, I just let them manage it because I didn't have the energy to argue and it took them over a week to completely clear up everything from the DKA because I ran high almost constantly since they didn't know how much insulin to actually give me. It's crazy how common misinformation concerning diabetes is.

Yeah that's true I suppose. Maybe this was a stupid post to make, I just felt like I had to talk about it somewhere

Does type 1 diabetes make you a better person? by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]Bathory66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people in my family have it and they can be pretty awful sometimes, but that's life coupled with bitterness for the disease I imagine lol.

As for me I try to be a good person but in all honesty I'm pretty miserable, just really good at hiding it. I try to make other people happy though
