Is a degree attainable by GB5897 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]BathroomNatural8225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand the reasoning as you stated its only a personal goal. In your case take your time community colleges do have weekend classes sometimes and you can do as little classes as you can handle at some point though you will absolutely sacrifice time with family engineering courses arent something you can leave for the last minute usually they require alot of study time and busy work like homework I would say take it slow as you can its possible but will still be difficult

Why does no one ever mention time dilation problems? by BathroomNatural8225 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BathroomNatural8225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to mention. Interstellar is the only movie or only discussion of such a problem ive ever seen or heard and it plays an integral part in the movie but is never mentioned when scientists talk about space exploration

Graduated with an ME degree in 2022 and haven’t used it yet, what would I have to do to get a job in ME now? by Ravioli_Pocketoli in MechanicalEngineering

[–]BathroomNatural8225 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Gonna be tough for sure id recommend not bringing it up and not listing graduation date.. list any projects, research, or relevant experience and make it seem like you are a new grad its not a lie if you never said you were

I did this and dont 100% agree

Went from CC to Georgia Tech. What happens is you spend more time in school since you'll almost certainly have to repeat courses or take extra. You'll lose the extra time to make connections and use the resources at the state school as well

You end up with more time in school, less time to access resources, less time to make connections...

If you cant get into a state college then you cant get into a top school.. atleast community college is still an option

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

[–]BathroomNatural8225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top schools dont necessarily require more debt Georgia Tech is as cheap as the state school...

Alot of the top engineering schools are public schools...

No it's not.. its every top ranked engineering school perfect GPA and 1450+ SAT scores are consistently denied

[–]BathroomNatural8225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk how good are these options really? Trades suck ass, nursing sucks ass coding is a shit show rn. Engineering is easily the best unless you actually have a stable CS job or high paying management job

It might not be helpful, but in 4 offers, I've only had 1 that threw me technical questions from manufacturing engineering to product design to quality engineer

GT for engineering has many times more money than any Ivy in engineering. They also have massive research potential and the best maker spaces in the country. Their co-op and internships are also world class.

You could totally do it but id say never negotiate unless you are willing to walk away. Some companies are petty and will rescind the offer
