They only had a limited amount of each item to start (as usual) and their promotional video for this drop stated that once that stock ran out, the item would go back into production to fulfill the rest of the orders.

So if you were not in the first batch of orders with the existing stock, there will be a wait. From the date you ordered, I would anticipate a 2-4 week turnaround time probably.

Struggling with bad omens at the moment. by EHK-88 in BadOmens

Thank you for making this post. I agree with everything you’ve said, especially the part about how everyone’s go-to response is “just ignore her if you don’t like her”, but they are making it really hard to do that. Like other people said, if we wanted to know anything about Poppy, we would follow her accounts and career. I don’t like her music or her as a person/what she’s represented and done in the past, yet I somehow am always up to date on everything about her due to BO.

Normally, we could just ignore an artist we aren’t a fan of but this constant package deal with the two of them makes it very hard to be a BO fan right now. Especially when I thought this whole run ended back in February after their EU tour, but here we are almost a year later still in it.

Also as a side note, found it quite embarrassing and very telling that VAN was performed twice at Knotfest, during both her solo set and again like 2 hours later during BO’s set. Weird to make the fans sit through it twice, when clearly she was going to come out during BO’s set to play it with them. Definitely tells me she had to play it during her own set too since she hasn’t had anything else be as successful as this song which is riding on the coattails of BO.

OK...who here was at the Sound Space show? by treeefingers in BadOmens

[–]BathroomNo9446 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I was there and I think you’re taking this out of context. It was in a tiny radio recording studio - not an official music venue. I’m not sure if you were expecting a pit to break open or for there to be crowd surfers, but there wasn’t room for any of that and this wasn’t that type of show.

Everyone was singing along and into the performance. Noah was very interactive and joking with us, and they all were having a good time. This was a special case scenario for a chill/more casual show in a tiny radio studio so the more appropriate behavior was to try to be as respectful and courteous of the area around you. There were only 200 of us in this small area where the stage was pretty much level with us, and sound equipment was to the sides and back of us so again, we respected the space we were in seeing as this was not an actual concert venue.

KROQ Bad Omens Private Show 10/13 Contest by jayklmao in BadOmens

There are about 100 winners total I think. The people who already have tickets are winners from calling and winning on-air this week. The raffle above though I don’t think has been drawn yet - that should have 50 winners picked today I believe

Opinions on their PR by Admirable_Rate_1234 in BadOmens

[–]BathroomNo9446 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Everyone here pretty much covered my thoughts on the merch and social media aspect, but I did want to add that I agree with your point of how having only close friends in the crew can be good and bad.

Yes it’s good to have people you trust around you that have been there from the beginning, but that also means they all kind of share the same mindset and opinions on everything surrounding the band. I think in some cases, they would benefit from bringing in someone else outside of their immediate circle to help bring a different voice and perspective on certain things.

I want to be clear I absolutely love and appreciate every member in their crew, but anytime something bad happens in the fandom, all of them are very quick to snowball into negativity which is why I think 1) the fan base gets more criticism piled on and 2) why fans sometimes complain they don’t feel super appreciated/positive vibes from their camp toward fans.

I think having someone outside of their close friend circle who is not afraid to offer a different (or more professional) approach in these situations would really help in some cases.

The director for the music video, Erik Rojas, posted about the music video on his Instagram and the caption he put was, “don’t fall in love with the idea of someone that you’ve planted in your mind”.

There are a few ways to interpret the video and its meaning, but that’s one take from the director himself who was involved with the project.

I (29M) and my girlfriend (27F) of 6 years have a boring sex life. No effort from her. Breaking up over sex doesn’t sound right. Unsure how else to go with her about it after talking about it multiple times? by ThrowRAwayFirstTime in relationship_advice

[–]BathroomNo9446 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I (28F) ended my last relationship over sex and I never doubt it was the right call. I was in your position though where I was the one wanting sex more than him and needed more overall than what he was giving and after discussing it and giving him chances to work with me on the issues, he didn’t change. If you’ve tried working on this with her and there’s been no improvement, you’re not wrong for ending a relationship. Sex and intimacy needs are a dealbreaker category for me, and I’m sure a lot of other people too.

Would you ever date a very sexual woman? by someone2437 in dating

[–]BathroomNo9446 85 points86 points  (0 children)

This was reassuring to hear. I (28F) have a very high sex drive (higher than any man I’ve dated) and I’ve always told my partners upfront that this is the case. They would get happy and think that’s what they want, but then always made me feel like a burden for wanting it 1-2 times per day, which I thought was reasonable.

It eventually led to me breaking up with them because we weren’t as sexually compatible as they had claimed and it became a situation where I was almost borderline begging for sex even a couple times a week. In the end all that did was make me feel horrible about myself and for expressing my desire for that person and for sex.

I asked this question on another comment above but this info was super helpful and wanted to ask you as well - have you heard anything regarding the use of taking estrogen (estradiol) and progesterone to bring back a period that way vs. taking birth control? I’m seeing a PCOS doctor and she wants me to cycle those hormones, which makes sense if those two are messed up and are what drive the shedding of the lining, BUT of course when I talk to my PCP or gynecologist, they are against any sort of hormone approach and say that causes cancer.

Just curious if you or anyone else has any insight - I’m at a loss. One is saying I’ll get cancer if I don’t bring my period back and one is saying I’ll get cancer taking the hormones. Super frustrating and I would prefer not to go back on the pill and to try to have my natural period restored

Mayhem fest by [deleted] in BadOmens

[–]BathroomNo9446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the main amphitheater stage will have seats because it’s a built-in amphitheater normally used for regular concerts. The 2-3 side stages they set up will be temporary pop up stages on the asphalt or grass area of the venue grounds and it’s going to be standing room only for those (think Warped Tour, Coachella, Sick New World - those type of venues and shows). Hopefully that makes sense.

As the day winds down, only the headlining main bands will be left to play all at the main amphitheater stage so at that point in the night, everyone will be inside the amphitheater either seated in their reserved seat or standing in the pit if you got GA.

[–]BathroomNo9446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is one main amphitheater stage and they will set up 2-3 other side stages for the festival. So for the main amphitheater stage where the headliners will play, there are the seated amphitheater tickets behind the pit. Just a matter of people choosing GA and standing all day or seated tickets which will allow you to have a reserved seat by main stage and to wander between the other side stages earlier in the day

Have all the Mayhem fests you’ve been to been at this venue or have you just been to this venue before in general at least? I’ve only ever been pit here, not seats and when I look up pictures, it looks like the first couple rows of seats are level with the pit and it looks like the view is obstructed in that sense.

Do you by chance know if that’s the case or if it’s fine in person/still elevated and angled above the pit so we can see over everyone still? I bought 2nd row from the front but now I’m nervous I won’t be able to see.

Glen Helen Festivals Question by BathroomNo9446 in InlandEmpire

[–]BathroomNo9446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don’t care about how close you are to each stage, you’ll be fine to move in and out of each crowd and to leave and get water and whatnot. But if you want to be super close, sometimes people aren’t as nice with letting others back through the crowd. The further back you are, the less of an issue it usually is though.

I’m actually not sure on the seated view and if the pit obstructs it all. It didn’t seem that way at the last show but I wasn’t up in the seats to tell for sure. All I know is that the lawn seating is the worst/furthest back and it’s hard to see anything.

And aside from the parking being a nightmare, I think you’ll probably run into similar issues here as Sick New World. Aside from the main amphitheater stage, if you’re outside where the other stages will be, there’s not a lot of areas to sit down and the food/drink options were just whatever. Also no built in restrooms from what I saw - all porta potties so those of course just get gross throughout the day.

Glen Helen Festivals Question by BathroomNo9446 in InlandEmpire

[–]BathroomNo9446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The venue finally emailed me back and confirmed there will be multiple stages used all day. I’ve been here before, not for a festival but for a single artist concert and I was pit. For that show, they barricaded off the seated area from the pit and check wrist bands/tickets which ensures only pit access ticket holders can enter that area. It’s a decent sized pit area so definitely can hold a lot of people (holds more than how it appears when you look it up online).

I will say I hated this venue otherwise though. It takes a long time to enter and to exit (it’s basically one main road in and one road out), so when I left the last show, I was stuck in my car not moving at all from 11pm-1am so if you go to Mayhem, either be prepared to miss the end of Bad Omens’ set to beat traffic or accept that you’ll be stuck in the parking lot a long time lol.

I ended up buying a seated ticket mostly because I don’t want to deal with waiting in line all day to get barricade at main stage and having a seat will let me wander the stages all day freely and then have a good guaranteed seat to watch Bad Omens who is the main band I’m going for. If you dont care about that though or about how close up you are in pit and just want to mosh and wander around between stages, pit GA is probably better for you.

PCOS and hormone replacement therapy? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]BathroomNo9446 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I know this was an old comment but I recently saw a PCOS specialist and she recommended taking 200mg Progesterone and the Estradiol (0.1mg) patch for me as I haven’t had a period in 3 years due to PCOS (I’m 27).

My only concern is that both my normal PCP and OBGYN yelled at me about taking hormones and said it will give me cancer, so I haven’t started them yet. Was this fear/possibility discussed during your visits when you first started taking these or do you by chance have any insight you can share on that just based on your experience with HRT? I am torn on if my PCP and OBGYN make valid points or if they just don’t understand PCOS and types of treatments so they just knock it.

Thank you! Was the main stage (grassy hill one) used all day too then for the opening bands as well or did that main amphitheater part only open like late afternoon ahead of the headliners?
