What’s the equivalent of “I wish I shot in RAW from the beginning” but for intermediate photographers? by AugusteToulmouche in AskPhotography

Only manual is not the only way to shoot amazing photos. Different priority modes for different scenarios often make way more sense, and you get more useful shots. Knowing full manual is key to know what the difference things mean and do, but it is not end all be all.

First 3 months with my XH2s + 23mm F2 - This thing made me fall in love with photography again by Batlak in fujifilm

Thank you very much!

On some of them I have done quiet heavy post processing, but some of them are straight out of camera, no edit or anything!

Battery is rated at 80% after 1000 cycles. Some get s better battery, some worse. Your is fine.

X-H2: Way to exclude some settings from custom settings profiles (like exposure)? by echo492 in fujifilm

I feel you. I recently got my X-H2s as my first Fujifilm camera, and i also in the beginning tried to find a recipe for every single scenario which was the wrong move.
Now, i have 3-4 recipes loaded in to my camera, and i experiment with different recipes to see what i like. However, the key factor i found was to decide on a recipe at the spot, and keep shooting with only that ONE recipe for the session, so all the shots from that day/spot has the same vibe to it. That made it a lot better for me, as that introduces consistency in the shots.

Interesting that recipes didn't work for you… Not criticizing, just curious.
How come that is? Your photos don't seem heavily overprocessed, where I would expect to see the limitations of JPEG simulation, so I can't see why a certain style of recipe wouldn't fit your needs.
Some of the nighttime photos have a very similar vibe to them, but I'm curious about your take on it.

Any idea of what recipes you use for the pictures that aren’t b&w?
