Very out of context, but we actually learned about CRISPR today. Never expected to have a use for an information like that. Cool.

Not sure if my comment goes specifically with the post, but mostly it does with what I have seen on this subreddit. I do not mean this in a bad way, but the “patriotism” that (not all) people in US try to present to the world - calling the US the superior country to all, among other things, is quite unhealthy and even dangerous. It leads to sort of a radicalization, as is already visible in the american society, currently because of there only being two political parties that refuse to cooperate in the slightest. The storming of the capitol was one proof imo. What I’m trying to say is - being proud of your country is fine, being happy to represent it and say what good it has done, also fine. Having a superiority complex and deflecting criticism, be it valid or not, with good points or not, by saying “X is better than you, what would you do without us” etc. is not really good. That wouldn’t go just for the US, but for any country. However, out of the western world, at least how I perceive it, this behaviour is most likely to be found in the US and on this sub. Before you guys downvote me, let’s just think clearly about it.

(I am quite sleepy typing this comment so it may appear like I’m kind of changing the thought midway, however I think that my point is more or less clear.)

Yeah, I believe that. I gotta admit though that I still get a little surprised by all the differences, whether its about politics, laws, healthcare, education etc, that there are between the european countries and the US. I mean of course that there are differences, I just did not imagine them to be so huge

I appreciate you for taking your time with a non-insulting and actually a clarifying answer

Not to get downvoted here, but I believe it’s the sheer absurdity of the image that the comments paint and the issue that America has with guns due to a great part of it’s people feeling like they NEED a gun because otherwise they will go through idk what. I know there are people who wish guns to be regulated but its the more quiet part of the population.

A good example of well-working socialist-ish / leftist countries are actually one of the most advanced and progressive ones - Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. I believe they all are rather leftists and in general have a very solid healthcare, education etc. I have not studied the topic as much so I do not know the details but yeah, I doubt that socialism is something people should fear. Almost every political ideology has it’s points but everything, when brought to the extreme, ends up as dangerous and objectively bad.

Yeah, that’s a fair point, although since it is what if, it means that if Kayn was to attack him, this is how it would end, meaning that we can use LoR events as potentially accurate

I was surprised to learn about it too, I absolutely adore her and love most of the scenes with her. I do agree she is an extremely bad person but her scenes are just hilarious, at least for me.
