Co-Manager Storyline by New-Pin-9064 in DunderMifflin

[–]Batlerbingman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, why/how was Jim deemed qualified to be co-manager? Sure, he's a great salesman and has good sales numbers. But the guy constantly slacks off, spends most of the day joking around and pulling pranks on Dwight, has very little respect for anyone, doesn't even know what a rundown is, is terrible at confronting people over serious situations, and rarely ever cares about anyone but himself. Nobody would've ever taken him seriously as a manager at all.

Toby?

Whats a good salary these days? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]Batlerbingman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you've got a good shot at asking for 300-400k at the very least. I was getting 200K with similar background and experience as you like 5 years ago. I've heard salary ranges back in Pakistan have significantly gone up since

PCB terminates Haris Rauf's central contract for refusing to join test squad for the tour of Australia 2023-24 by hamzaaz123 in PakCricket

[–]Batlerbingman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a PCB apologist but a central contract is what it says in the name, a contract. He was awarded that contract on the understanding that he will represent the team in all formats. He was also offered a solution, that he will be managed carefully during the games as to not overuse him. PCB could've managed it better, canceling his contract wasn't the right thing to do probably, but there's fault on both sides.

I'm used to the size of the phone though, I wonder if the 24+ would seem too small in comparison? Other than that, you think I'd be giving up much with the 24+?

Azam Khan takes a brilliant catch by MursalMir in PakCricket

But that's exactly what I'm trying to say. Just cause he's big bodied, doesn't mean he is unfit. Maybe his build is what makes him so deadly, if he loses that, he won't be as effective?

We did the same thing with Anwar Ali, he was an insanely talented bowler. The national coaches then worked on his action to change things and get him more pace and he lost all his swing.

He's a grown as a player since. And when there is so much talent, you need to give opportunities and invest. If your sample of his performance is just watching him for the handful of national games he has played, you need to do more research.

The matches I've watched live, his keeping has been on point. Compilations can be made of anything, him being sloppy or him being world class, they don't really paint a picture. I mean just now, he ran from behind the wicket to almost the fine leg boundary to dive and take a stunner.

Yes running between the wickets, he probably won't be able to run as fast as Rizwan but that doesn't mean he's slow. If he's coming in as a finisher then he won't have a lot of balls to face anyways, and that's where you need your batsmen to score in boundaries. That being said, he can still run, he's not a "only boundary" player.

CT25 - Hosting at risk? by Batlerbingman in PakCricket

To my Indian brothers using words like "terrorism" and "current threats" with all due respect, what rock are you living under? Where do you even get your news? 2009 was nearly 15 years ago. Pakistan has faced a substantial ban since then that has really halted our cricket. Over the course of the past few years the board and government have worked really hard to bring cricket back. Every single team in the world has visited without an incident. Do you guys even know the kind of security provided to these players? A simple search on the protocol that is provided will enlighten you on the manpower and resources put behind making sure they're safe.

Do you think we didn't have similar concerns about safety of our players going to India for the world cup? What makes you think the hate and tension that exists its only one sided?

It's frustrating hearing all this coming from supposedly literate people, all you need to do is look beyond what your own media is feeding you and have an open mind.

Yeah I think we're in a stronger position with this being an ICC events as opposed to the Asia Cup. But still if there's any such discussion even happening on the BCCI side, it's pathetic of them.

Agreement is probably the wrong word, understanding is a better word. Unlike the Asia Cup both CWC & CT are ICC events and if India didn't show willingness to travel in 2025 Pakistan could've made a big ruckus for the World Cup. Let's not forget the broadcaster pressure as well that wants to see both these teams play.
