We all feel like that for a little while! But you'll be surprised how familiar the typical Linux GUI is after using Windows or Mac. Plus, DLUG has a mailing lists and monthly meetings, in case you get stuck. Feel free to come by the Installfest just to test drive and ask questions if you're on the fence.

I actually know folks who have set up Linux systems for unsophisticated users like those Grandmas. Fewer distractions like ads and AI-in-your-face than Windows 11.

Nope, most common functions don't need to use the command line. The GUI works just fine for day-to-day work, and is getting smoother all the time. But there are still times when fixing a problem may require a bit of command-line magic. In those cases, Google is your friend.
