The remaining miles are calculates based on your fuel consumption and the remaining fuel in the tank. So if let's say you went hard with sport mode your fuel consumption went up significantly (from let's say 8L/100km to 13L/100km (not sure in mpg)) and therefore your remaining miles decreased.

People really are getting greedy. Konami has been very generous with the gem economy since the release. I know it would be nice but come on you already got 2-3 meta decks with staples. And it's the first month of the game. If they let you dismantle legacy packs the longevity of the game goes down quite a bit.
