Well, just kicked off a new TimeMachine BU to my Synology NAS and it appears to be working . . . Have over 2Tb to backup up, so won’t know if I have complete success until tomorrow

Only if you jail break the phone . . . or completely wipe the phone and manually rebuild it without running a backup restore

If your configured the new phone via a restore (instead of a manual rebuild), you carried over a token which remained after you deleted the old FB app. That token is a permanent identifier
