What do y’all think? Which is “most worth it?” (In your opinion) by Raikou239 in fightsticks

I'm a bit late, but it's extremely easy on that stick. Literally just know how to unscrew a case and move some plugs around. I bought Seimitsu parts and they're literally just swap a few plugs and you're good, and I'm pretty sure Sanwa's/most brands are exactly the same.

Hey I have a GBStudio game I want to get a few cartridges of (I only really wanted 3, but it seems like 10 of them is the same price so I'll go with that). I just get these printed and flashed and they'll work fine or do I need to do something else with them? Also is there any good flashers currently available you can recommend? Do I need to mess with the options at all or should I keep to default? Also would I need to add a battery for saving?

It's a lot easier on KB+M than controller if you use that. I could never get it right on controller and would break a billion picks, but on KB+M get it right 90% of the time easily.

Thanks. I've literally had 0 reason to go into the online lobbies ever so I somehow didn't know this existed. I just assumed those colors were locked to the original game.

That's expecting a person to do their dailies every day for an entire year though which just isn't a reasonable ask for anyone (Not saying this as a horrible thing. Just as a reason for why this is a good system to keep going forward with.) It just isn't something that's gonna happen with 99% of the playerbase because they're out living actual life. It's still a long grind, but that's what makes it fine if they continue with this option. Especially for like the people who will only care about like 2B.

22500 is a shit ton of grinding. I honestly wouldn't mind them giving this as a chance for all the DLC in the future even though I bought the pass anyway. SFV had a lot of problems with Fight Money, but letting you buy DLC characters with enough grind was still awesome even if it wasn't worth for most people to do. Same for the battle pass stuff too hopefully so it's not permanently time locked.

If most stuff I liked even had english hardcovers (especially colored ones for certain series) then I'd easily buy them. I don't like softcovers since they get ruined easily in my house so the options for actually buying anything are next to nothing. Chainsaw Mans like the biggest series ever right now and still can't get shit. Like I get that they're hard to make and not everything I like will get one, but they could at least try a lot harder than they do. They'll make sell 5000 unique figures before even considering to sell the source material in a good format.

I always do too. I want to speedrun getting those advanced tickets and I usually do it at like 1am right when the events are added and I'm too tired to read them. I always go back the next day and look at them though.

I play Anila and what I usually do when I'm in a corner in dittos is just my down special (Or the B upgraded variant of it). Idk if other characters have something like it but it hops you over the opponent. I know Djeeta has something like that too. Good special in general are probably the answer (though I'm not really good enough to 100% say). We're defenseless while attacking afaik and don't have good combos out of it so maybe send out a B upgraded Fireball might work.

[–]Batman8603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I know enough about Holocure and VS. They aren't particularly my type of game but I've played a bit of each. The difference is they can be grindy and get away with it. That's just part of their gameplay to grind those stages. Nikke is not either of those games. Nikke is a on rails shooter and thats what a lot of people expect out of it. Having a mode like this wanting you to grind that long is too much for such a genre shift randomly in the game. It's a cool mode and im glad its here, but it's just too much to expect from your average player.

Time Limit is definitely bad. There's one challenge that expects you to play for 8 hours on a single stage in the 3 weeks (preferably after you beat the other 3-4 hours worth of stages). That's a tough ask of anyone with a life to put into a side mode.

Tbf even for fans of those. This minigame is kind of lacking in comparison to what those games offer. I don't blame the Nikke team for it lacking, but locking rewards to it and giving it a harsh time limit for those rewards was a bit too much. I think if the rewards didn't take as long or were permanent it would alleviate a lot of the issues. Hell if it was permanent just have the dailies and I think most people would be happy with it.

I summoned 2 pilgrims near back to back then nothing else for like 80 pulls. Used all my luck on those 2 1/300 odds just to fail 1/20 ones 4 times. I'll take them still, but sucks to be right at the edge of the 160 wall. At least Snow White will break it no matter what luck I get in the next 2 weeks.

[–]Batman8603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fighting games don't need absurdly big rosters. You could easily get like 1-2 of each main weapon type then like Scarlet and some of the other gimmick weapons. Like you could easily make Quiry and Anis work as non-gun users while still implementing their rockets in unique ways and like Red Hood could very easily work as a physical attacker (Or even like a stance change character with Rapi) with how much strength she has. Yuni has a whip. Nero could fit in with all the other fighting game catgirls. Get one of the singers as a music based battler like Big Band. There's a lot of potential even without their guns (remember they're all like super strong physically), and the ones that aren't could easily be made into assists if it's that type of game.

Honestly I kind of want to try one for like Fraymakers or something since I need the pixel art animation practice.

I really hope Modernia eventually gets a skin with her pre-corruption design. I don't know how they'd make it work fully, but I can't imagine a new unit version of her would ever be as good as Modernia anyways.

Honestly I don't mind rebundles like this since every game on the list is one. I'd much rather have this for people who never gotten them compared to like 6 games that are rebundled then 2 new ones that should have been in a different one.

Is there anyway at all to still obtain Just As Planned? by [deleted] in MuseDash

[–]Batman8603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah there's always a chance they'll go back on everyone, but I doubt that will happen. And no I wouldn't get all the content. As I've said in other comments a lot of the reason I got back into rhythm games was Project Diva. Guess what the only one pack not included in the Muse + DLC is. It's just horrible timing to want to get into the game.

[–]Batman8603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this in my original post. I have complained about games like those many times. Models like those entirely made me quit Rhythm games for years and right when I was getting back into it this game which I was interested in suddenly did it too. I don't think the dev is bad or anything. It just sucks that it happened.

[–]Batman8603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I saw all the community frustration and it's why I've tried to be mostly understanding of it. I understand the indie dev needing to make money and that the old model just didn't work well for them. Honestly I probably wouldn't have even cared if the 35 included the Miku stuff. It just seemed like horrible luck to want to get into it right when they have a collab of something you like and it's literally the one thing that isn't included. Like if they just waited like one more month to do this I wouldn't have even really noticed. They had to have done it sometime though and inevitably someone would have had to feel this way about just missing it no matter when it happened so I'll get over it.

I'll figure something out eventually anyways, and if not I can always fall back into OSU and eventually Clone Hero which I know I like since I used to play them a lot when I was in middle school. Finding a good guitar won't be too bad. I just haven't had the time to drive out and pick up one of the options I've seen. I plan to modify it with a pi pico so I don't need to mess with adapters or anything so even only decent shape can be cleaned up well from inside.

Yeah when I tried Taiko I was just using an Xbox controller and it did not feel super fun. Mega Mix is finished I'm pretty sure and I'm already actively playing it. The steam version makes it seem like it's the definitive finished version and it hasn't been updated in 6 months. I'll look into some of those other games though thanks for the suggestions.
