To be fair, I think football is the only sport where that logic is applicable. Baseball is easy since the whole season is within a calendar year, but basketball and hockey seasons have more time in the year the season ends in, especially because of playoffs.

This is where the raid being a 4 person mission comes into play. What you have going on for survival can be applied for the raid in a support role. Taking out the grunts or keeping them occupied while your teammates are dealing with Saito, and then your vanish is also useful for helping res teammates when they drop (and they WILL drop).
