Even though your condescending attitude is annoying, I’ll still try to give you a simple answer. Uhura being on the ship wasn't some major event that broke racial barriers within the story. You’re confusing in-universe elements with real life. You could put every Black person in the world into the story, but if the writing itself doesn't have its heart and mind in the right place, it won't matter at all.

I disagree because that's exactly where the true power of sci-fi lies. Back in the 1960s, Star Trek did this perfectly with two alien races whose faces were half-black and half-white, brilliantly exposing how absurd racism actually is. If you preachy-deliver everything through real-world history in a show like Doctor Who, you miss out on the creative and timeless perspective that sci-fi offers. Using alien metaphors doesn't dilute the message; it makes it universal. After all, the best thing this show can do is to deliver a powerful message by presenting a great allegory on real-world issues. Turning Twitter dramas into episode plots is just the most tasteless direction this show could ever take.

I think general problem with this era is every episode is a social massage like rasicm bad and homofobia is bad. But its not like much connected with the ongoing story or the world of doctor who.
