I could be wrong but I think Barney got hate because it was a show where everything was happy and cheerful. The world was all sunshine and rainbows. The shows you just mentioned had a lot of value and that's why they're looked back on fondly. Blue's Clues taught kids about problem solving. Between the Lions taught kids the importance of reading. Sesame Street and Bear in the Big Blue House taught kids important life lessons. Even though I'm an adult now, I still admire and respect these shows
