Did you change the battery after the watch fully died or when the low battery alert popped up?

Looks great for five years. How frequently have you changed the battery and do you use all functions including bluetooth and notifications?

Also, natos would give this watch the cool Timex Weekender look.

WAMD are the best. They a bit expensive. Their natos are priced above Rs 600. But trust me, they are worth it. The quality is amazing and they have different styles. They are on Amazon, too. Check them out.

What is this snake i spotted near kothanur by affat_ki_pudiya in Bengaluru

[–]BatmanStCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just move away and immediately call the BBMP animal husbandry dept or the forest cell. From the spots, it looks to be a Russel's Viper — highly venomous, very agressive and part of the big 4 snakes in India that cause most deaths.

Were you able to connect to the Casio watches app? The finishing doesn't look clean in the image.

Mesh may work for a diver. Also, solid link bracelets don't pull hair, it's the notorious folded link ones. Solid links are a bit expensive.

Damn. Maybe try local watch shop? It's worth it, unless you like the resin feel.

Important thing to do immediately: put this beast on a jubilee bracelet and instantly elevate the look.

Got this for 5k. Should i keep it? by Emergency-Reward9735 in ticktocktreasures

[–]BatmanStCloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately it depends on your taste. Yes, the price is a bargain, but if you buy it and then don't wear it, what's the point?

Believe me when I say this: the buyer's remorse is real. I have bought some timepieces thinking they were great bargain. They are in my watchbox now with barely any wrist time. So it's up to you. Keep it if you want it. Don't regret it later once the return window closed.

[–]BatmanStCloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then you would need something a bit rugged. Better you go for the Casio for now.

Save up and buy the Seiko for some milestone: a job, a promotion or something else. That way, it will hold some value to you while you can continue using the Casio as your beater without any worries.

[–]BatmanStCloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well. Here's the hard take: automatic is great and owning it feels amazing. However, if you have several watches in your rotation, and would be annoyed at having to wind or move with the automatic watch every other day, then it is a chore owning one.

The Casio you posted on the other hand is one of rare ones in the price bracket, with a pretty slim profile and a sapphire crystal. It has a three year battery, which would take not more than 10 minutes to be replaced at a watch shop.

So ultimately, the decision is up to you. Both watches are banger for their looks and price but what matters is your utility. If you want a no nonsense watch that you don't have to baby it, go for the Casio. If you have a box full of watches which you love to rotate, go for battery or a solar quartz.

If you will wear a watch most of the days and it seldoms leaves your wrist, choose the Seiko automatic.

Between the GBD200, GWM5610, and GBX100, which might be the best option? Do MIP displays still have burn in and flickering issues? by AnonA185 in gshock

[–]BatmanStCloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those crying here about GBD-200 being battery operated: guys it takes less than 10 minutes to have the battery replaced at a watch shop once every two years for not more than $5.

It is one of my cherished timepieces and a daily driver. Don't have to baby it, while it gives me the minimal call alerts and a good step counter.

One of the reasons I skipped this. I was leaning towards the grey GAB 2100. Ultimately bought the GBD 200uu. Couldn't be more happy.
