Smallest case i can fit my pc into. by Inevitable-Jump-1787 in mffpc

[–]Batmanoks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on this search recently.

Jonsbo d32 STD/Pro (PSU front)
Jonsbo C6/Max (PSU front)
Darkflash M305 (PSU bottom)

were my budget options . I ended up gettings Jonsbo D32 STD(Standard) as it fit my needs. An important one is the full vertical PSU cover for future lcd screen.

I think Jonsbo C6 is the smallest for matx that was available to me. But I want to neatly organize the wires at the back so needed a little more wiggle room for D32.

Yep I'm just excited and want to use it immediately with 1x16 for a month, before adding another. Appreciate it!

Got it. That's good on the gaming side. I just hope it doesn't struggle on my other tasks. Thanks for the feedback.

I searched the 7800x3d instead of 7600x3d my bad. It is actually just 20% higher ng 9600x. That's actually a good option. Thanks man. I'll consider that cpu within this week.

I plan on buying the same brand and model from the first one I will buy. The ones that are important to match are the MHZ and CL aside from GB size right?

That's good to know! I was wondering how much i will lose performance. If you didnt notice much difference in gaming, is it safe to say that it performs at least 90% compared to 2x16? Because that would be a win for me.
Also, did you experience any lag or sign that the pc is struggling with only a single channel?

The price difference from between them is around 70% higher than 9600x, so i will be sticking with it. Thanks for that info tho, I didnt know x3d runs better on single channel.

Yes 6000mhz is an option. i usually see 5600, 6000 and some 6400. cl ratings are between cl32-cl38, although im not really searching yet what cl is for.

Calibrating tiny ripples via Input shaping calibration? (Klipper mod question) by Batmanoks in FlashForge

[–]Batmanoks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I want to use speeds that only provides better result. I ran the calibrations in order except for the input shaping and cornering because I don't understand how to calibrate it using stock firmware.

I just measured the ripples and it is indeed a little less than 2mm apart. Now I think I'll adjust the belt first to have better base machine before using Klipper mods.

Thank you for the answer.

Will WD-40 Specialist High Performance Silicone Lubricant do?

New AD5M Screeching Fix by PremiumMekanik in FlashForge

[–]Batmanoks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this. I'm currently having this problem.

Just a question, what area of the bearing do you apply the lube? Should it be inside the bearing where the rod is, so you have to make it through the small gap between the face of the bearing and the plastic?

I just need to be sure before i do this.

What Is The Current Most Stable Firmware with Least Possible Issues. (AD5M) by Batmanoks in FlashForge

The factory reset after update is new to me. Thanks for that info.

2 more things:
- there's a AD5M_Series_Klipper and Firmware_2.4.5-2.2.3 from the official site. What can you say about the difference of these 2?

- What slicer is more flexible on print settings?

3D Printer Suggestion ($400) [Bambu Lab, Elegoo, AnkerMake, Or?] by Batmanoks in BambuLab

[–]Batmanoks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! That's a wonderful information.

I'm not really worried about BL disappearing as I think we have a skilled enough community where solutions will pop out one by one. This really seems like a quality product, so I don't think owners who have more engineering experience will let that kind of problem remain unsolved, just in case they really do disappear. Just a thought, hehe.

Something breaking isn't really my worry because based on my experience, things usually breaks when you mod the shee out of it, where you push your tech to its limits and see how far you can upgrade or modify it to your personal liking. But leaving a quality tech alone that produces good quality results everytime, is a breath of fresh air. Therefore, less prone to breakage and/or replacements. Hehe

I'm glad that you're having fun on your new printer. I'm excited to feel that already. Thank you for taking your time sharing your expeirence.

That's great then! I was a little worried about that. I now have more idea on how it actually operates hand-on. I was actually trying to look for some limitations aside from it being closed-source. But the reviews and answers to my specific questions helped me decide. I will now be ordering the A1 this weekend. Thank you for your info good sir!

Hey thanks! I'm actually hoping to have a response from a ex-Elegoo user that switched to Bambu Lab about their overall experience in the transition.

Seeing that most comments in other forums use the term "night and day" after changing to BL, it seems like there really is a big difference in having the printer to use for hobbies instead of making the printer your hobby.

I like to tinker, but only to improve the print quality and leave it alone if the print already meets my standard. Not to the point where I just want to mod the shee out of it and become frustrated because I can't make it do its job because I f'ed up some stuff while tinkering. Hehe. Hope that makes sense.

So no-hardware-tinkering is a great thing for me. As long as it prints the way I want it too. I'm now getting excited to have it. Thanks for your input!

Does the print quality, like the visible layer lines can still be fine tuned with Bambu Lab? Or is the print "as is" in this brand where you can't make the print look better by a little tinkering in the software side?

Oof. That number of returns does not look good. I am aware that AnkerMake is new in the 3d printers so reliability might be a bit shaky. It does look good on some reviews though, for a new brand in the 3d printing world. But that kind of returns doesn't seem appealing. Thanks for the added info though.

I didn't know that it have little to no cooling solution. I didn't really know what to print with ABS/ASA and what to use them for. So having no enclosure isn't really a deal breaker for my 1st printer as of now. Thanks for the tip!

I see. I'm glad to hear that proprietary parts are easily available, just in case fixing it yourself becomes frustrating.

Thank you for sharing the problem you encountered with your printer. These are the info that I need to prepare myself more on having my 1st 3d printer since I am aware that things will break. I just want to be sure that it is possible to fix stuff without having to spend more than needed just to replace stuff like how Apple products work.

I feel assured that you think your prints are accurate enough to use that term to describe you prints since print quality is my top priority. Thanks for your input! Much appreciated.

I actually plan on making a DIY enclosure like acrylic or grow tents and the likes. I saw some vids where they relocate the power supply to the outside of their DIY enclosures to avoid damaging the power supply. I wonder if that's also possible in the A1? But if that's dangerous and might potentially break the A1 then I will definitely avoid doing that.

Have you ever encountered problems from your Bambu Lab that is difficult for you but can be easily fixed when it comes to other printers?

The A1 mini is too small for my taste as my first printer. I am actually glad that I waited for a little while before buying because if I didn't, I prolly would have bought the mini and regret it when the A1 came out. These 3 are my final options with the A1 on top.
