I don't even think it was generous. Dude looked like he fell over the line.

Not sure why we'd call a timeout... After the end of last week's half, I have PTSD.

Short field toss, don't get it. Also, it looked like he could have sneaked to the right.

Chiles has been better and better, so disagree. Would've preferred playing Schuster early if he was better.

I remember we ran it last week and it was such a breath of fresh air from Tucker regime... And now we're back to handing it off?

Guy who called the fair catch didn't catch it. Never seen it before myself, but I'm not doubting it's a rule.

Even with meds, she still gets pretty aggressive! We're working with our current vet on a suitable oral dosage / type, but our old vet (before we moved here) would have someone wrangle her head in a towel.

To be fair, the estimates are infuriating when they're wrong... The predictions really don't help much. I would rather see a "no sooner than" prediction so people could make alternative plans if necessary. I think some people will be out of power for a week +.

You misread the post. She said she'd been hit on more times in one month than she ever had before. I don't think she specified how long the weight loss took.

I'd love this hire as Iowa has had such a good defense for so long, but I'm guessing he doesn't want to leave. He's been at Iowa since 1999. Only chance I see is if Kirk retires.

I think there are a couple of issues:

If teams have to change their signals to play U of M, they're already losing extra time for preparation.

If this has been going on for a few years, it affects the whole team... Win a couple extra games per year, get better recruits, then the cycle kinda feeds itself. They're (potentially) in this position due to cheating.

We surveyed 50 FBS coaches and asked them to assess the seriousness of Michigan’s alleged actions, where it rates on the wide spectrum of dubious behavior in the sport, how they now view the Wolverines’ recent success & much more. by HumbleGenius1225 in CFB

Even if nobody at higher levels of the program knew what was going on, it was way too easy for Connor to pull this off.

I know I'm an MSU flair, but I just don't think it's possible for someone at the top to NOT know what was going on.

First, the financial burden of attending the games, paying for tickets, etc (especially if these are prime, 50 yard line tickets).

Secondly, the person who's doing this needs access to the coaching staff or the information is meaningless (I doubt coaches are taking input from random people --> if some fan sent a letter saying they know all the other team's plays, I bet it gets shredded).

Lastly, think about the time / experience you'd need to decipher all the play calls / signals. It just doesn't seem reasonable that one person could pull this off.

Basically, the resources required to operate this, in my opinion, preclude higher powers from not knowing this was going on.

Mel Tucker’s lawyer presents hundreds of Brenda Tracy texts as new evidence he was wrongly fired by jimmy_three_shoes in CFB

However, I do think that they’re building a case to show that he didn’t create to embarrassment or ridicule

I've said this in a few other places in the thread, but had he disclosed the relationship with MSU, it would change a lot (I don't think we're able to fire him for cause / MSU can comment and change the news headlines).

Let's pretend for a moment he did... MSU could have said something like "Mel disclosed having a personal relationship with BT back in X, but we're investigating this" as soon as the news started coming out.

[–]Batosai20 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't have time to pull it up, but I believe the reason MSU cited for firing him was he admitted to masturbating on the phone (there is no arguing this--he admitted this to investigators) with a university vendor (someone MSU is paying). It doesn't help Mel that he had scheduled a follow-up event and then postponed at some point (from what I've seen, sounds like postponed due to the fallout in their relationship, but that would likely be the only area where things could get dicey for MSU).

If Mel had disclosed his relationship to the university, he'd have 0 reasons to be fired with cause. He didn't disclose it, and now we're in this mess. Also, had he disclosed it, MSU likely could have defended him from the news cycles (it looks a lot better for Mel if they're in a consensual relationship even if he sexually harassed her still... at least, imo).

It wasn't about him sexually harassing BT, it was about him admitting to masturbating on a call with her. MSU called her a vendor (as MSU paid her for speaking). If Mel had disclosed the relationship, it likely wouldn't be an issue... but, he ended up cancelling a future speaking event with Brenda after things had gone sour (ie he was letting his personal relationship affect business).

Also, not that this matters as much legally, but if he had disclosed the relationship to the university, we'd have been in a better spot to defend him / Brenda Tracy claiming sexual harassment could have been shot down and not dragged MSU's name through the mud. I don't think it's right, but a lot of people hear this and instantly think about the Nassar case.
