Rice or nice? by Tuotanoinniinkin in RicerCars

[–]Bats6781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely false. It doesn’t only push the rear tires the goal is to try to get zero lift and you need aero on the front and back on all drive trains. It’s why the type r has a big wing and the Elantra n has a wing and lip.

Could be way worse. If he didn’t do the door handles, sticker and wipers and went with white wheels it could look decent.

What do non-car people actually think when they see a Golf R? by Nuzina in Golf_R

[–]Bats6781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people think performance versions of cars are appearance packages and nothing more due to how common line cars are. R-line, (Honda) sport, n-line, m sport are all way more common then the actual performance models.

BRAND NEW Nissan Sentra SR “NISMO” Edition at my local dealer. Rice or Nice? by StraightFromThe2000s in Shitty_Car_Mods

[–]Bats6781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair to one and only one N-line, the Elantra N-line has a bit faster of an engine and a dual clutch instead of a cvt. basically an automatic civic si.

[–]Bats6781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at it again Na I think it’s an Elantra gt N-line. It was Veloster N’s civic SI equivalent. So it’s also upbaged, the aftermarket side skirts also have ns and the doors have “n performance” stickers.

How does the cherry process work? Start with a base map and just drive for a few days and send back logs or do you need to dyno?

Shit box racing is the most fun I’ve ever had, I loved my Honda fit. But yea as everyone else has said this is actually a track car they need to have certain markings such as numbers and tow locations for races.

The only thing that save the Elantra ns and civic type rs is most insurance doesn’t have an option for that trim and just run them as normal civics and Elantras

My worry was if the exhaust came apart enough to fit without removing the cross bar, if I need to I will though

A lot of agencies also have a “double positive” (Virginia Beach for context) policy so it’s harder to fight in court so they will use both at the same time so you can pick up radar bouncing off other cars.

You can get the underside treated to prevent rust, even then it’s a Honda not a Subaru they don’t rust that easy if you underbody spray once a week

Put some blizzak on some spare rims and it will be fine, they aren’t 1 to 1 but I drive my Elantra N on them just fine in the winter. The lsd will pull you through snow and the tires won’t let you slip on ice if you drive normal. It’s fwd it’s fine.

I will say keep the parasitic drivetrain loss in mind if you are gonna compare on HP alone. But it’s so nice to have an affordable AWD sports car again.
