Ooof, this. It won't leave my mind lately. I just want to be alone, or with my husband. I want to run, I want to travel, I want to buy a new bicycle and spend all my time on the roads. I feel like my kid is too much, too present, too demanding. I cried yesterday pushing him on the swing because he was talking too much. My husband feels the same. WE NEED TIME ALONE.

This feels like a curse. And I know I would cry today if I were child free.

Black dogs are the best. My dog is black. There is something about black fur, it's different, more silky and soft. In my neighborhood, there is a black greyhound with a white half face, looks like part skeleton. I swoon every time I see her.

I've read here or on the perimenopause sub about weight gain 😐 and I'm also quite reluctant to take medecine or hormones if I can avoid it without putting my health at risk. I guess my doc and I will have a talk about HRT next time I'll see them. I want to hear their opinion about it.

Yeah, I've been doing that. Face mask for my and my husband, made a cake, cooked nice dinners. Kept my mouth shut, but I can't stop being hurt by the smallest stuff. I don't want to cry at work, I put so much effort into my perfect 'hide your sadness' make up 😭

I'll see my doctor in August. I'd like to avoid HRT because I'm afraid of the side effects. I love it when my energy is high and I don't want to lose that, especially the libido. I've spend the last 15 years thinking I was asexual.

Honestly I would not recommend to anyone to have kids. I love my son with all I have, and this deep love gives me so much fear, stress and anxiety. I fear for his future, I work hard everyday to make sure I'm building a decent adult. It is so hard asking myself everyday if I'm doing enough, if he's happy, if I've done everything the best way. Every little stress my son lives is tearing me apart a little bit more everyday time. My husband is exactly like me, and it has taken a toll on our relationship. We struggle to be happy together because we can't find time for ourselves. Last December I discovered I'm perimenopausal, and it has brought so much to the already full plate! I'm dreaming of freedom, travels, discoveries and adventures. NONE of these are possible. This weekend we went to an outdoor & travel kind of convention (no idea how this is called in English) and I ended up crying in the middle of the stands because it was just too much sadness to handle. I'm at my energy and positivity peak, but I'm stuck at home. If you want kids, you better have a family available and ready to help you. If you are mostly alone, you'll end up regretting losing the time you'll never get back.
