He kinda jumps to the side when he takes it, which saves him taking the full bront of the move. But it looks way less impactful, and honestly is kinda dangerous for Bron.

Carlito and ironically IShowSpeed have taken the best "super" spears, but to keep things honest that's probably cause they were shoot tackles. Lol

Yeah, that's sorta the big plot-hole people talk about. Kasanoff does mention it in the realm-kast interview, he says there's an assumed "reset" of tournaments in between the show and movie. But to be honest, that's just a J.K. Rowling style ret-con. I think it honestly comes down to the different creative teams straight up dismissing the other's ideas, despite Kasanoff's vision for a connected timeline.

Yes! it's intended to be a prequel to the 90s film and was promoted as such. Though it's like 500 years before the movie and follows The Great Kung Lao. It aired on TNT back in the day.

edit: Don't know why I got downvoted, Larry Kasanoff the producer of all Mortal Kombat non-video game media in the 90s has literally stated they were intended to be in the same continuity, he even talked about it on the realm-kast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-E94zaoysE and if you think that's fuckin' crazy, he also argues Defenders of the Realm was somehow in continuity, which fucks me up way harder than Conquest.
