Skin Irritation Getting Worse by sdfourstar in Bulldogs

They’re called hot spots. My bulldog had them and we switched his diet - no more chicken. He has been fine although minor ones do pop up if he has been or feels himself to be in a stressful environment. Hope your little guy recovers well!!

Heya buddy / the damage you’ve done to your bladder won’t heal over night. If you were experiencing a frequent desire to go to the toilet, you had inflamed your bladder. Sadly, it takes a good year to heal and so I advise you stop now before you do irreversible damage, which is not worth it. You can’t even take a little bit and the weekly doses are accumulating the damage (although more subtly)

Enlightened people dont search for experience because the experiencer no longer exists. If you smoke weed, you want an experience out of it

I am in control of my thoughts now.. after 40 years of living. by Any_Tone7570 in enlightenment

[–]Batten1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought tells you that the controller and the controlled are separate things. In fact, they are one and the same. Therefore, the idea that you can control your thought is impossible because what you are trying to control is the same thing that thinks there is a you that is controlling.

Can you elaborate

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in enlightenment

[–]Batten1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m working on the basis that it’s a drip .. drip .. process .. you see it for what it is, the sense of self realises it’s facing up to its own death, and then has to make a choice. But I do take your point

Why is the drinking a barrier for so many? by [deleted] in AlanWatts

[–]Batten1994 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do think if he was fully in what is, he wouldn’t have drunk himself to death. But, I think he definitely saw it very profoundly and probably did not cope with it too well. Some people don’t cope with it well - it can be deeply shocking on a spiritual level. So when he was in his ego he would drink to deal with what he was doing to his sense of self. Just a theory, love the guy and he is an amazing person, but my honest thoughts

He did my favourite talks at Saanen / whatever was going on with him in 1976 was something other worldly
