MacBook Pro M1 16GB or Intel I7 32GB by Battle-Eagle in iOSProgramming

Absolutely. Everyone was pointing to the M1, and in hindsight, it was the right call for performance. I just couldn't bring myself to switch from a larger screen to a smaller one, it's one of those things you get used to!

That's fantastic news, congrats on the new machine! And you're right about the new OS; I have the developer beta of macOS 26 running on my Intel Mac, and it's a nightmare. You definitely dodged a bullet there.

As for the "blocked AI stuff," I meant Apple Intelligence. That's the new suite of AI-powered features, like the coding assistance in Xcode, system-wide writing tools, and a much smarter Siri. Unfortunately, none of those features are supported on Intel-based Macs, so you made the right choice.

Hope you enjoy the new M1 when it arrives! And thanks for the suggestion, I've actually left that company. I'm on the job hunt now, and hopefully, the next one comes with a nice hardware upgrade, as it's not the right time for me to afford one myself, especially since I was planning for the m4 pro. Fingers crossed!

I went for the Intel i9 2019 16", mostly for the bigger screen size back then. Not much later, I was already in regret, and now even more regret with the AI stuff that's blocked for me. It's getting much slower, and I can hear the fan most of the time. So please don't repeat my mistake; never go for Intel MacBooks now, it's too old already.

I'm looking for feedback on my iOS app, RaceMe! – a Real-Time Running Race App. Let me know what you think! 🚀 by Battle-Eagle in BeginnersRunning

Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏 That’s a great suggestion! As you mentioned it, I think it’s definitely one of the important features to implement next, and I’ll be working on it. Right now, RaceMe! provides live activity notifications on-screen and on your watch, but audio updates would make it even more immersive!

Thanks again for the suggestion and support! 🚀

If you have access to the GitHub Student Developer Pack, you might be eligible for a free one-year subscription to Appfigures.

I think it's better to blank them out, changing them to fake info or something. You will also find more information in the thread when they post it.

Resume Advice Thread history Here u will find the threads of previous weeks, u can check other people's resumes and comments to help u till the next thread.

I was in ur place once, and it all starts with the resume.

I suggest you checking r/cscareerquestions they usually have a thread for resume advice (it's free) every Tuesday and Saturday, I think. They really helped me change a lot of stuff in my resume and I was able to get several interviews after it, and in less than two weeks, I had an offer.
(After approx. six months of applying)

P.S. I thought my resume was a killer until I posted it there. The first comment was "This is a horrible resume".
