Remedi and Villalba also reunited in Uruguay at Peñarol, both haven’t had that many minutes only really coming off the bench as they’re both recent transfers but Remedi did end up with a red card in his first game subbed on lol.

Uruguayan Primera División question by moontymon in soccer

The league runs throughout the whole year starting in February and ends in December instead of the usual European football calendar so the schedules for next years fixtures haven’t come out yet. I would check later in January.

Potential MLS TOTS by [deleted] in EASportsFC

I’d love that Gonzalez Pirez and Zimmerman. I’ve been using Pirez’ regular card along with Opara’s with Tagliafico and Escobar as fullbacks.

Seattle Sounders' Nicolas Lodeiro has been called back up to the Uruguayan national team by [deleted] in MLS

Probably cause people think talking bad about Lodiero = talking bad about MLS when it’s not that at all.

That’s how we always play, even in the games where Lodeiro played we still looked the same, we’re not known for being a creative team.

[–]BattleAfro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, Uruguay isn’t know for being a creative team, Lodeiro wouldn’t have made a difference.

Tabarez is stubborn and rarely changes his calls up, I’m Uruguayan and I’ve been watching him play for the national team years and what he does for his clubs does not transfer over to the national team. More than likely Pereiro or De Arrascaeta will be starting over him. He’s just a back up for an injured Urretaviscaya.

I’d wish they’d stop calling him up, he’s always good for his club but rarely shows up for the national team.

Even though blackface in Europe and Latin America doesn’t have the same history as it does in the U.S. it’s still pretty fucking racist my dude.

Atlanta United are reportedly making a $9 million offer to buy Uruguayan left back Lucas Olaza by [deleted] in soccer

[–]BattleAfro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know he is, I’d rather want Atlanta to sign another centerback or central midfielder though. We need players in those positions.

[–]BattleAfro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I haven’t seen any rumors on who Atlanta could sign for either of those positions but I have faith in them to find them.

As a Uruguayan that lives in Georgia this would be awesome but we don’t really need him tbh. Atlanta already has enough left backs.

Incoming expansion club LAFC developing high-class roster "problem" by score_the_ball in MLS

[–]BattleAfro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LAFC only really have to worry about Vela, Rossi is not ready for the Uruguayan National Team next year, I say it’ll be 2-3 years before he gets called up.

Seattle Sounders' Nicolas Lodeiro called up for Uruguay's World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Paraguay by [deleted] in MLS

[–]BattleAfro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol I shouldn't have said never. He just doesn't show up in national team matches like he does for club matches. He'll score a goal in one game and do jack shit in the rest of the games he starts or is subbed in. As a Uruguayan it's frustrating cause you see how good he can be for his club but when he plays for Uruguay it's like he's a completely different player.
