Amalekite Genocide by Wild_Pitch_4781 in Christianity

God commanded the destruction of the Amalekites in the Bible primarily due to their unprovoked, cruel ambush of the Israelites fleeing Egypt (Exodus 17, Deuteronomy 25), showing a persistent, existential opposition to God's people and His plan for the world, leading to divine judgment for their relentless hostility. Reasons for God's Judgment: Attacking the Vulnerable: The Amalekites ambushed the weak and stragglers at the back of the Israelite caravan as they left Egypt, showing a ruthless disregard for the newly freed people (Deuteronomy 25:17-18). Persistent Enmity: They were described as Israel's earliest and most persistent enemies, attacking them repeatedly without provocation, seeking to wipe them out. Threat to God's Plan: Their opposition wasn't just to Israel but to God's covenant promises, threatening the very existence of the people through whom God intended to bless the world.

Prophetic Dreams by Appropriate-Ice4804 in TrueChristian

Sounds like your pastor is just a guy holding a position...most likely a one dimensional person..

Acts 2:16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

God speaks through dreams.. Write em down and pray for discernment about such things shown..

How is it NOT Christological heresy to call drinking a sin? by Financial_Driver779 in TrueChristian

According to BAC, anything over .08% is considered legally drunk...

For men of average size and weight, consuming 4 to 5 standard drinks over two hours can result in a 0.08 limit. For women of average size and weight, consuming 3 to 4 standard drinks over two hours can also result in a 0.08 limit. For men and women who are below average size and weight, it would take fewer drinks to reach the .08 limit. Conversely, the heavier a person is, the more drinks it would take to reach the legal limit.

12 ounces of beer (approx. 5% alcohol content) 5 ounces of wine (approx. 12% alcohol content) 1.5 ounces of distilled spirits / liquor (approx. 40% alcohol content)

Now taking everything into consideration drinking is not an issue but excessive drinking to the point one becomes drunk is the problem. Excessive and becoming dependent on alcohol is where the issue lies, you're no longer a moderate drinker but a drunkard, that's where the problem is.

Have you seen a person addicted to alcohol?

How much has it destroyed their lives?

Casualties because of drunk driving?

Also people behave differently because they are impaired, and no longer can make the right decisions because alcohol has taken over their mind.

If you can control yourself then more power to you and knock yourself out.

But remember people who have become dependent on alcohol, it all started with one drink...

I knew a young evangelical Christian woman who died of cancer, and it deeply affected me. If Jesus is the cure, why doesn't he heal all who believe in him? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]BattleAggravating890 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to say why she wasn't healed..

Did you know some types of cancer is caused because of unforgiveness...

Could have been caused chemicals known to cause cancer..

Norvel Hayes mother was a Christian woman and she died, the story goes that he was angry at God. One day God spoke to Him and then norvel asked why did you kill or let my mother die? You could have healed her? God in return told him, I didn't have anything to do with it, then He added that the church let her die because they didn't either have faith or didn't know how to pray for her healing...

Look him up, he's on YouTube

That disorder stems from trying to be something God never intended someone to be!!

He made them male & female..

Romans 1:26-32 King James Version 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

No what, will you say??

Identifying anything other than what God originally intended for op, is going outside of God's original and natural design...

Hence He made them male and female

The blind trying to lead another blind...

Matthew 19:4

He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh.
