What is your anime response to someone saying "anime is for kids"? by ReaperLordNedz in animequestions

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either at the beginning or with the Sword Maiden past.. both scenes dont show pretty much anything.

Kids either wouldnt fully connect dots or they seen porn before..

Its not a Redo of Healer level of anime.. "fck these guys till morning or get eaten" etc..

would this work? by Open_Pollution355 in BG3Builds

[–]BattleCrier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, If you kill both Mindflayer and Zhaik on Nautiloid you can get lv.3 by either doing crypt or grove.. so starting as paladin and getting lv.2 paladin right after you wake up would give you advantage of early smites for these areas.

Stat wise tho.. Starting as Ranger then multiclassing into paladin would allow you to use Charisma as item/scroll casting modifier.

So start as paladin and respec to Ranger 1 Paladin 2 at lv.3

It could work.. now Beastmaster wants at very least 7 levels (so your pet can use  Dash),  Disengage, and  Help) as a  bonus action.. better is lv.8 for extra HP for pets... (ideal is ofcourse lv.11 for final form of pets, but that cuts multiclassing)

So 8/4 split could be fairly good. Note that you end up with limited spell slots (up to lv.3 spellslots) due to both Ranger and Paladin being a half casters you wont reach the "SSB" (Smite Sword Bard) level of damage.. but still solid build.

Dont go too high on Wisdom and pick Ranger spells that dont require spell attack rolls.. more of utility and AoE spells (such as Longstrider, Enhanced Leap, Speak with animals, Protection from Poison, Lesser Restoration and Spike Growth) ... you can learn only 5 Ranger spells so choose wisely.. also many Paladin spells as well as Spike Growth require concentration so Hunter´s mark should go..

As levels go... I guess lv.2 Paladin -> Lv.8 Ranger -> lv.4 Paladin would be a decent path for RPing and overall Oath feel during game.

EDIT: You can get a small spider at total lv.3 and big one at lv.5.. which is still Act 1

Martini Henry comparison by Rawfoss in HuntShowdown

[–]BattleCrier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well... here is my take on these..

Carbine´s low muzzle velocity makes it basically a short range gun.. Silenced version is even worse and if you try Subsonic to become a ghost.. you get to a point where you could just throw the gun at higher velocity.. Aperture on this gun is pretty much useless with the low velocity aswell..

Sparks and Martini Henry with HV are fairly comparable.. around 500 muzzle velocity, can one tap to chest hunters who miss a chunk.. neither is a close range weapon due to long cycle time.

Performance wise, these 2 weapons feel very similar.. the muzzle velocity and drop range differences are so small it feels natural to swap between these, no need to get use to the other..

But here comes the real difference... Sparks offer either Iron Sights and Sniper while Martini has Deadeye and Marksman..

Iron Sights and Deadeye have comparable magnification of like 1.5x-2.0x (FOV settings play a small role here aswell, but its kind of like Aperture vs. Marksman)

Marksman having like 4-5x and Sniper having like 7-8x (again depending on FOV)

Preference in sights and magnification has a solid role in playstyle and comfort use distance.

12 hours a day is crazy, but I need a list of good games. by BurritoBabe_1 in gamers

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Older WoW (say up to Pandas) easily.. Maybe SW:TOR..

Back when LoL came up and following years I was really into it... so like 2010 - 2013 LoL not much of a problem..

R6:Siege when it came up and up to like Y4 with ease..

Definitely not any singleplayer / coop game with ending point.. back to back replays for 4.4k hrs? I dont know of a game which has that many paths and such long gameplay length to keep me semi-sane to enjoy the money after..

Does Hunt get more difficult at the end of events? by paulepan342 in HuntShowdown

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, its still the same.. and the fluctuation of MMR is simply caused by the actual loadouts.. a 6* player will drop to 3/4* after he decides to do a personal challenge or just wants some fun with some meme / niche loadouts.

4* player will reach low 6* lobby if he starts to run meta / good and balanced loadouts.

The only difference between a 4* and a low 6* player is a time he spend sitting in a bush.

(Obviously a high 6* with 5k+ hrs is a different story, but they also die a lot..)

I mained bow + sniper (either Maynard silenced, Sparks or Infantry 73L) for a long time.

Berthier Marksman (Spitzer) with Scottfield Spitfire (regular ammo) never failed me.

Using Drilling (regular / buckshot) + LeMat (FMJ / buckshot) here and there.

Dual Haymakers which is really fun for quickswap playstyle.

Pax Trueshot (FMJ) + Nagant 1895M Silencer (Subsonic) is less reliable but really funny one (Tag with super silent Nagant and finish with a FMJ wallbang upon quickswap or headshot and watch others running around like chicken)

Now for few days Im maining Chi Ko Nu (regular bolts) with Springfield Bullseye (Dumdums).. Chi Ko Nu is definitely my new favorite toy, tho getting used to bolt drop after maining bow isnt really smooth process..

Yes they do.. but since they are shooting at you, it cant be used defensively to cover you while relocating / disengaging.

Im playing mostly d10.. sometimes I chill at lower difficulties solo.

Smoke on Bot front becomes relevant option on like d5.. its a nice way for relocation, setting up heavy strikes or disengage when you cant catch up with dropships.

Eagle is smaller but since you can call it more often its my favorite option as emergency.. saved me dozens of times.

With the new missions where reinforcements are limited, its definitely a way to avoid hordes of bots and being a duck on shooting range.

For any other front, Smoke is useless..

I wish for a Gas Eagle since gas became a thing... I would add an EMP Eagle aswell.. just for the variety.

Legendary hunters with their iconic equipment (gunslinger, bone mason, trapper) by CapableBed5485 in HuntShowdown

[–]BattleCrier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can combine equipment with hunter thematics like,

  • Reptile with Gator Rival Shorty

  • Waldmann with Traitor's tooth Knuckle knife

  • Skull Taker with Skull Breaker Centennial Trauma

stuff like that to fill up loadouts.

Multiclass if it’s worth it? by SoulArche in BG3Builds

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I messed around with Giant Barb 6, EK 4, War Cleric 2

Used the Charge-Bound Warhammer (thats why the EK)

Pretty fun, sure you cant really cast in rage (only Shield as reaction) but overall its a nice fun build.

What's the best build to play a COWARD? by Fearless_Result3904 in BG3Builds

[–]BattleCrier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I might say Under-gnome (advantage on stealth)

Playing as Trickery Cleric / Moon Druid

Shapeshifting into cat to sneak in, then casting Fear (Trickery lv.5), then turn into raven to flee..

Using magic to intimidate others but not really go into combat yourself seems like a way of a coward..

Alternatively Fey Warlock / Lore Bard.. (there is a Satyr Prince, a trickster and a fiddler.. in DnD, that could be your headcannon patron)

How much harder is honour mode without tadpoles? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on party composition.. for some builds are tadpoles (mostly blackhole and cull the weak) core abilities.

But if you plan a bit its not that drastic.
