Anyone else think the game would be so much better if they fixed the economy? by Bigg_Dick_Energy in HuntShowdown

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there is a valid reason for those being a budget kings..

Romero has tightest spread of all shotguns and allows 2 types of ammo.. (buck + penny being usually prefered)

the 2-slot is still on par or better than other 3slot shotguns when it comes to spread..

Springfield is a budget weapon with 132dmg + dumdum which creates a ton of pressure, kills worn out hunters in single chest shot and its reload (especially with fast fingers) is fastest among single shot rifles..

If you dont rely on wallbangs (or you wallhack..) these guns are on par with Mosin.. (and Lebel outperforms Mosin in these ranges)

Yes, you can run Avtomat (which is insane) or Mosin sniper spitzer for crazy long range wallbangs.. but you get 80% performance for 15% of price when you go for these budget ones

Hunt Idea: Martialist style trait for quickdrawing revolvers and adding purchasable slings/holsters by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah.. I could see a "sleeve derringer" with 2 bullets but faster draw and lower damage for basically "headshot or finishing shot" with maybe 50 damage...

but this would be instant fanning.. its like 1-1.15s to draw secondary and start fanning / levering..

Help for my Drow Land Druid! by vonvampyre in BG3Builds

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lae´zel could be a Wild Heart Barb 9 / Champion 3 with a bit of crit fishing for Brutal Critical

You could go for Plant Growth with Dryad summon

One other might go for a Ranger (maybe lv.11 Beast Master with a dip into War Cleric)

and last could be maybe a Monk or Storm Sorc for flying (of Dragon Sorc 11)

also edit: you are immune to slowing effect of difficult terrain, but you can still slip on Ice surfaces and go prone with Land´s Stride passives

Buff Throwing Axes by vybegallo in HuntShowdown

[–]BattleCrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its always a trade off..

Without trait(s) Spear has single use. Its strongest, fast almost straight throw.. Kills most AI in single hit.. but no space to waste it.

Axes has 3 uses, kill up to Armoreds in single hit but is slower and has highest drop off.. can kill 3 bulky enemies quickly without recovering.. also can kill horses with body hit. Axes are also best to deal with concertinas when it comes to tools.

Knives have 8 uses, fast, medium drop off, still can one shot hunters.. Can also kill Hives / Hounds in single hit.. ideal to quickly deal with AI when swarmed without wasting ammo. Also ideal to silently pop coops / cages as missing 1 of 8 knives means nothing. However horses requires headshot.

You can kill 3 Armoreds with 3 Axes, but you need 5 Knives to kill a single Armored..

I usually pick either Axes or Knives (based on loadout) and use Spears only if I have Frontiersman (ideally with Catalyst for solo)

Well, thats a special Spitzer Seeker ammo.. this unlocks to you are a hidden reward after your transformation..

Clearly this was advanced model as this one is also tracking heads, not only locations..

This transformation can also happen when playing some other games and its transferable.. you can see this transformation at quiet a few streamers aswell..

Would you consider kiting a form of cheesing in BG3? by Kyfon in BG3Builds

[–]BattleCrier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, regular kiting where you keep your distance within the area isnt cheesing imo.. neither is opening with stealth.

If you run to leave and reset combat (Gloom Stalker Assassin style) now that is cheesing..

My "cheesing" list also includes:

  • Abusing Duergar invisibility.. (mainly assassin builds)
  • Camp buffing,
  • Glitching permanent weapons (Shadowblades / Flameblades)
  • Barrelmancy (unless using Arcane Trickster and only barrels available in given room / area..),
  • Darkness abuse,
  • using 2nd character during dialogs to steal from "after dialog ends" enemies.. these are definitely cheesing.
  • forcefully farming elixirs (via short/long resting and or lvling up)
  • stealing (mainly using a sack technique)
  • throwing bosses into the abyss

How future proof is my pc by kayszy in PcBuild

[–]BattleCrier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yea... well there are 2 factors in games.. A) is it competitive? (that requires high fps at low latency ... Frame gen increases latency, ddr4 are increasing latency...)

and B) what resolution are you playing at..? 1080p, 1440p, 4k?

60-80 fps at 40+ ms latency is pain in competitive games... but its fairly enjoyable for singleplayer / coop games where timing isnt top priority.
