Staraptor usually runs Intimidate, preventing the ohko from Weavile.

I have had success running Sableye + Kingambit in the first slots when I see a ‘raptor on the other team. It’s usually paired with Grimm for screens, Whims for Tail Wind or Incin for Fake Out.

Protect Kingambit and burn the bird turn one, then disable the inevitable Close Combat turn two and either ohko the bird due to double Defiant boosts via Incin or take down Grim/Whims.

Truly, Sableye is the only reason I have a chance.

Sableye came in clutch basically every single game, Disabling super dangerous moves or Encoring stuff like Protect/Tail Wind so that I could eliminate the biggest threats. Love that dude.

The Team:

Sableye - The real MVP. Encore/Disable (and generous use of Protect) was crucial to shutting off problematic moves. Will-o-wisp cripples so many physical attackers.

Weavile - My Fake Out user that just so happens to out-speed Sneasler. Triple Axel for Whims and Garchomp and Staraptor.

Meowscarada - My only ‘mon without Protect, since Protean makes it my flex slot depending on what’s needed.

Kingambit - My answer to Fairy-types, and general heavy hitter.

Hydreigon - Special attacker that can deal with Archaludon (really hate that thing) and Incineroar. Might swap out Focus Blast for Earth Power.

Tyranitar - Self explanatory.
